The XL fits a petite woman fairly well. I'm 5 ft., under 120 lbs and the pants fit with a little extra room around the waist. There are tabs on the side that allow you to adjust the waistband. I may add some velcro backing to make them a little snugger around the waist, but otherwise these work well for a petite woman. They are insulated, making them warmer than my previous snowboard pants.

While it may seem obvious from the color selection, the cap is definitely a light purple. It appeared more like off-white on my screen and I even requested an online chat to confirm the color. I was told that the hat is as it appears in the picture and that perhaps the color text "plum" referred to the stitching. That is not the case. The hat is definitely a light purple, though a pretty nice worn shade of purple.
