so far so good

only used 1/2 season so far but have been great. scraper is slightly uncomfortable in the hand until you find a good position. however, it's wicked easy to scrape off the heavy snow stuck to your boards which makes going up that much easier. also, scraper ends make it MUCH easier to lift heel risers without having to bend over. i've heard these types of buttons can freeze, but i've ridden temps in the low teens and had no problem. sometimes requires a couple extra seconds to find the holes, but not an issue. glad i bought 'em. |

in response to B+'s review: you had them on the wrong feet. super light, which is great for way up AND down. super responsive: you ride this thing, don't drive it. mojo definitely prefers powder. floats like a dream. can even go a few cm smaller (my roomie rides a 171 prior and always wants to borrow my 161 mojo. worth much more than you'll pay. this has been best season ever thanks to this board. |

without question the best backcountry ski pack i've worn. board fits well in straps that tuck away when not it use. used it for day and overnight backcountry riding (even 2 weeks hitching mexico). taken a TON of abuse and still solid. the ONLY negative is that it's almost impossible to get hydration tube through slot provided. I LOVE THIS PACK! |

very solid

this thing has worked better than expected. i am usually faithful to tnf, marmot, and mtn hardwear since they are tried and true and have be consistently reliable. was nervous about dropping the cash (that i barely had) on a new company. if it hadn't been for the coupon backcountry.com sent me, i wouldn't have bothered. that said, i've been impressed so far. bike commuting in wind, rain, and snow hasn't been an issue. this shell blocks them all very well. it fits me (5'9" 165lbs - got a medium) better than most gear. i always seem to be in between sizes, but that is not the case here. when zipped up all the way it's tighter than other softshells i've worn which i like. wind does not go down and chill my neck. not constrictive though. my only complaint is the decreased breathability. it definitely does not breath as well as other shells i've used. however, considering the price (especially with the coupon), the fit, and how well it keeps out the elements, i'd still recommend this to someone i liked. i'm likely to try other backcountry.com gear as a result of my experience with this shell. would've given 4 1/2 stars had it been an option. |
