Good entry-level helmet

This helmet doesn't really have any adjustments, and instead of vents that open/close it comes with some little foam sheets that you stick into the vents. Pretty sure I already lost mine. Anyway, it's good at keeping a stable temperature and blocking the wind. If it fits you right out of the box then it's great. Otherwise you'll have to return it. |

Nice pants but huuge

Functionally these are some slick pants, especially the crotch zips, they are really well designed and refreshing. Plenty of pocket space, keep moisture out, and a good elastic/velcro waist adjustment system. They go beyond baggy though. I'm 6'0" with a 32in waist and the M was dragging on the ground and I needed a belt to keep em on. Great pants if you are andre the giant, otherwise order a much smaller size than you think you need. |

Not for fatties

Obviously the cardinal sin of buying ski boots is buying them online. You should get fitted at a competent shop so they can make you a custom footbed and mold the liner. Otherwise you are entering a world of pain, smokey. That being said, this is a great boot for people with low-volume (narrow, skinny) feet like myself. I wear 10.5 shoes but am 8.5 in this boot. It is rated at something like 100 flex but is actually pretty soft compared to other high-end boots. I only weigh 140 and I can bend it no problem. The one complaint I have is that the shell can scratch the top and bottom of my foot getting in and out. It's a narrow boot so entry/exit is a bit of an ordeal. |

Really versatile, great pack
02-22-09 ![]() |
This is a really good pack for a day on the mountain. Some things that might not be obvious about it: There are two straps you can use for strapping a board to the back, and they easily stow away in their own little pockets when you aren't using them. You could also use them to cinch the pack tight, but there's no need since it already has a zipper that expands or contracts the size of the main compartment. There are also belt and chest straps that I don't use. Haven't had them get caught in a lift yet, they don't flap around. Easy to sit on the lift without feeling like the pack is pushing me off. Obviously the pipe will freeze if you take it out in a raging blizzard, but you could easily take out the reservoir and put in a different bottle and warmers. |

Just what you'd expect

These are great all-around shorts. Soft, they don't get too wrinkly. These aren't a baggy fit, so don't try to size down. These is a tiny embroidered lime-green stone logo on the inseam, it's maybe an inch from the end of the leg and almost unnoticeable. Is that a word? |

Goodbye canvas
01-03-09 ![]() |
I've gone through quite a few pairs of Reefs, and the sizing and comfort is about the same in all of them. These are great too. Just don't be surprised that the canvas starts coming off of these once you've worn them for a few months. The black sole starts showing through. Gives them a nice worn-in look if that's what you're looking for. |

Great

Nice feel, quick drying and soft fabric. High-set pocket on the back is well designed to keep me from getting poked with keys when I sit down :p |

Weee

These are fine, velcro and lace-up fly is good. One pocket on the right butt cheek with an elastic loop in there. Remember you put your keys on it before you sit on them though. ouch. |

Beware the cellphone pocket
01-03-09 ![]() |
I really like these shorts. They are nice and soft, sizing is right on. They have an extra cellphone pocket lower on the leg, which is fine, but any time I sit in a car or on a couch my phone falls out of it... |

Pretty good
01-03-09 ![]() |
I had high hopes for these shoes, needed something I could slip in and out of at work. Like another reviewer said, the back of the shoe is high and stiff, so it has been rubbing uncomfortably on my Achilles for the first week. The weight and look are good, but my biggest complaint is that the footbed is basically a plastic foam, so if you try to wear them without socks it's sticky and your feet will start to sweat. |
