I only got to use this jacket once this season, but I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought the black jacket, with light green trim. Pros: I like the colour and appearance. It kept me warm and dry but wasn't too heavy. It has a powder skirt (but my pants couldn't attach to it since they're a different brand). There's a mouthguard to help keep your face protected. Cons: It isn't a "fitted" look. It's kinda straight in the body, so my wider hips make it bunch slightly at the waist (but not too much). The hood can't fit over my helmet.

I have only used these shoes in one canoeing trip and they have retained a bad smell from the water I was paddling in. They are advertised to be anti-fungal and anti-bacterial so I didn't expect it to be so bad. I tried washing them in detergent and drying them in the sun but the scent still lingers. Before this incident however, I was very happy with their appearance and ease to put on. They're a little rough on the inside, so I didn't like wearing them without socks for long periods of time.

It's not a bad rash guard but it definitely runs big and mine is a little loose all over. I'm not using it for surfing so it's not a big deal for me, but it doesn't have that nice fitted look I was hoping for. I got a small, but would have ordered XS if I had known. I got the white one because that was the only color available at the time. It's nice if you're looking for a subtle design only visible in certain light. Otherwise it just looks like a white long-sleeved t-shirt.

I agree with another review that they run a tad bit small, but I'm not sure if I would have needed to upgrade a whole size to make up for it. I love the double short option and even wore the outer shorts on their own a couple of times. I was worried I'd have to hand wash but I actually accidentally let them get washed in the machine and they came out fine. I only wish it came in other colors so I could get another.

My jacket arrived in only 3 days from Backcountry Outlet (even though I ordered the free ground shipping), and that was just in time for the rainiest weekend out here. I was canoeing in pouring rain for 4 hours and my fleece underneath stayed miraculously dry. The water-wicking effectiveness might have been partially because it was so new at the time, but I was the only one in my group that wasn't soaked under my jacket. The hood worked pretty well too, but it was fairly windy and it blew off a couple of times. I got the brown XS and the sizes must run big because I would normally wear Small, but this was still roomy enough to wear a fleece hoodie underneath and have breathing room. It isn't really tapered as it looks in the picture, but it still looks great.
