I bought this for my wife and she absolutely loves it! She does a little bit of everything, skiing, showshoeing, mountaineering, winter camping etc. It's been great for everything. Water beads right off but it breathes very well! Tons of cargo pockets, plenty of ventilation and the powder skirt is enough to keep all the undesirables out! It's definitely more than just a shell but she's used it down to -20ºf so far with a little bit of layering. She's got zero complaints and I got browny points for the gift :)

These are great skate skiis! These skiis are extremely stable at higher speeds but have plenty of bite on the uphill. One nice thing with Fischer is that they camber match every pair so you don't end up with skiis with completely different flex. I guess what more could you ask for, good on the uphill, good on the downhill and very stable all around.

I really do love these boots! They are plenty stiff although it doesn't feel like you're strapped to a 2x4. They flex enough to keep things comfortable and the boots are literally comfortable enough that they can be worn all day and the feet never start to nag. The lacing system is a defininte plus and feels very stable. All in all these are great boots. Never had a complaint yet, don't expect any in the future!

I am extremely anal retentive! I had 1 pair and they were so comfortable that I am using them for all of my journeys from hiking/exploring to glacier travel, ice climbing etc. I ended up buying a 2nd pair for fear that I might be without them for a couple weeks or so if I have to send them to be resoled. Overly anal?.... Probably but they're really that nice! I plan on using these everywhere and am certain they'll live up to Sportiva's claims!

I'm a huge fan of products made by Backcountry.com. I've got a ton of them and everything has been great quality, fair price and really nice for innovation. These hats have great color in the wool and some really killer micro-fleece inside. The fit is really nice! I seem to have extra sensitive skin when it comes to wool so the fleece inside is a huge bonus! Plus the coffee/smoke hat matches my Mr. Rogers sweater perfectly! As an added bonus these guys have the hats made in Nepal. Thanks for another great product!

Just bought both colors for my wife. She loves the colors and the fit. They fit very true to size. The material is extremely soft both inside and out. Hopefully I got a few browny points for the surprise :)

Okay, if you're looking to spend time high enough to require this kind of warmth or you're just doing some winter camping in the sinks, these are the way to go. These pants are rated if you're looking to head into temps below -40F but they'll go lower than that. They work very well with harnesses. Obviously gaiters are necessary but I'd wear them no matter when when I have these pants on. Patching a tear is fairly easy, but a pain in the hiney when you're in the thick of the cold. I tore my jacket and it was a pain but worked very well. The fit is great, they move well, they're very true to size and they don't seem to ride up at all. Killer pants. You'll love 'em!!!

This is the best pack I've owned. I went into the retail store of backcountry.com and tried on about everything. It came down to this pack and an arc'teryx. Hands down this pack was much more comfortable, plus it has a bunch more accesses and compartments than the others. I Nikwaxed it with the UV waterproofing, not that it was necessary but I'm anal! I've been on a bunch of long trips with this baby and the more I use it the more I love it! What a great pack!

These are now my favorite "everything" shorts! Kuhl does a lot of very cool things to them like an inside security button as a backup to the fly. Mesh pockets and bomb proof material. They fit true to size, they dry extremely quickly but I didn't chaff when hiking in them wet for long periods of time while in and out of rivers. Another great product from a killer company born in Utah!

These are some great water/hiking sandals. I use them for very light hikes, especially if we're going to be in the water. They have lasted a lot longer than I expected.....don't seem to ever fall apart. They run true to size except they do fit just a hair wide. All in all great sandals for whatever terrain you're looking to conquer.

These are now my wife's most comfortable pants in her collection. They're extremely soft both inside and out, and they're lasting really well. The only trippy thing about these pants is the waist band. Like people have said it is stitched at the front and the back. That's a little odd, but it was easily remedied with a needle and some thread. That took care of the issue no problem. They do run a little big in sizing so you may consider dropping down a size. Great pants though, none the less!

I love these glasses! I got them for mountaineering, glacier travel etc. They do exactly what they're intended for. Great for taking the light out of your eyes from all angles and especially in extreme light conditions. They do look very cool, but they're incredible for their purpose. They definitely are not for people with a larger head. The ear pieces are extremely flexible and bend to about whatever shape you want so they're really manageable with different shaped faces. They aren't recommended for driving as the lenses are too dark. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting some semi-retro shades which serve a great purpose.

I love this hat! It is extremely warm, very comfortable and feels very stable on your head. I have problems occasionally with hats sliding around on my head. This one doesn't at all but also doesn't feel tight! Kind of the best of both worlds. Canada Goose definitely gave this hat a great twist on an old school style and I think it's great! It's got a hefty price tag but in my opinion it's well worth it!

These are great pants for nordic skiing. The cut is great so they move well, don't fall down at all and don't seem to gather anywhere. They're plenty warm unless you're skiing close to 0 degrees and you may want to add some Merino long johns but down to those temps you'll be totally fine. They've lasted a long time as well. I run these and Craft tights as well. They both work well but these have lasted longer, only because I've had them longer. Great pants for anything Nordic, running or whatever other grueling workout you want!

I completely agree with the review written by Buddah. This is a killer jacket and definitely breathes a million times better than my OR GoreTex pro shell. The only thing I'd add to this review is that the waterproofness of it is just as incredible as the breathability. Water is still beading off and it's had ample time to break down. I've worn it with 60+ lb. pacs numerous times and it's working out better than I had expected! Thanks again BackCountry!!!

These pants are kind of crazy.....in a good way. They say canvas which is nearly true. The material does feel like canvas but they're amazingly comfortable, unlike canvas. They feel very thick when you touch them on the outside but when you wear them, especially after a few wearings, they're amazing. They really are great lounge pants. They have some really cool little extras like with logo placement, belt loops etc. They definitely don't just look like your standard pantalones. I love all my pants from Kuhl! I'll keep buying them if these ever wear out.

All I do is Alpine style and this is a perfect harness! It's wicked comfortable and is very easy to use. One of those things you might want to be a little extra anal about and this one hits the nail on the head! There's plenty of adjustment. Fits well so really there isn't need for much padding at all. Plus it fits very well over a Pro Shell! Great harness I'd recommend to anyone!

This pack is probably the best thing I've added all year! I've always had a hard time running/riding with this sort of gadget attached to me. They're either too low/high, too tight/loose or fit weird on my back..... til now. I'm 6'1" and about 185 and my runs are taking me the better part of a day so I don't have a choice, but this pack has made it easy! The fit is perfect. Plenty of adjustment, plenty of water, cargo space and pockets for necessities. No sales gimmicks, this is really a perfect trail running pack! I'd have paid double if I knew about it earlier!

I've been using these things for a while now, mainly for alpine climbing, and they're amazing! They move extremely well. They are well proportioned in every different are of the pants...ie. side zips, gaitors. OR really thought out the ventilation of these pants with the thigh zips that work extremely well. I read before I purchased them that the pockets were too small but I thought of the alternative of having large pockets and trying to find things with cold fingers or thin gloves on and felt that having smaller pockets was much better than not being able to find anything. The one thing you might look at, depending on your waist, is to pick up some suspenders from OR. My waist was a bit too small for large's but I needed the length so suspenders are working out really well! By far my most used and favorite pants in the collection!

I picked this shirt up and really love it! It's a fairly loose fit but fits true to size. I got the straw color and it stands out well, looks very sharp! Cleaning is really easy and the fabric doesn't hold onto dirt so they come out very clean. You do have to iron this shirt as they wrinkle out of the dryer and they wrinkle fairly easily as is very common with light shirts of this nature. These are really nice shirts from a great company started right here in Salt Lake City, UT!

I wrote a review a while ago but decided to write another since I picked up the rest of the colors. These are great beanies! They insulate extremely well but the fleece keeps the wooly effect away from your skin. They'll fit about any size head. Really, they're killer hats and I think everyone should pick some up. Well worth the dough!

I bought all four colors for my wife. She really loves them. The cotton is very soft but doesn't feel like most super soft T's, meaning that it seems like it's going to last a long time. Be careful on the fit as they do fit a little snug. All in all they're really great shirts!

Okay, so I've written a review not too long after I got my first of these watches. Now that I have a bunch more experience with it I have a few more thoughts. The 1st watch ended up having problems with the buttons....they stopped working. I returned it and Backcountry.com replaced it no questions asked. The 2nd one worked for about 5 or 6 weeks. At that point it started doing a global reset at least once per week. That required to go back in and set all values for the entire watch again. I gave up on it at that point. I absolutely love the functions of this watch, just couldn't get it to work long enough to make it worth while. Luckily Backcountry.com completely rocks and gave me a full refund.....no questions asked. Thanks folks!!!

These gloves are amazing! I'm always a huge fan of leather gloves and Grandoe has added the best leather in the perfect places. Very soft leather on the sides and top of the fingers and a little more durable leather on the palm and pads of the fingers. They're insanely warm, and this is coming from someone with horrible circulation in his hands from too many episodes of freezing temps. The nose wipe definitely comes in handy as well as the gauntlet. I'm very happy with them and expect I will be for years to come!

These socks are great! I use them everywhere but intentionally bought them for running. They're the best for avoiding blisters between your toes which is something I've suffered with for a lot of years. They've lasted a really long time which really surprised me. The only thing I'd warn against is that these shorter socks tend to slip down on your heel in general. Aside of that they're amazing!

This is truly a killer jacket! I got my first when they were Alf. That's been over 16 years ago. The leather on the shoulders and elbows is still the same as when I first bought it. The fleece on the outside hasn't matted, pilled, faded or had any problems at all. The inside is like a thick, warm blanket. The fleece is really thick and super cozy. They're not the most wind resistant although they block the wind better than most fleece. The zippers are very beefy and haven't ever had regular zipper issues. All in all I love this jacket!

Took this out on a couple of nice trips. Worked like a charm every time! Stayed pretty warm inside, but mainly we stayed very dry! There's tons of room in the vestibule and when they say 3 person, it really is a 3 person! We absolutely love this tent and expect it to go for years to come!

I almost bought Arc'teryx in fact I tried both on at backcountry's retail store..... I liked these better. They fit great, harness fit perfect around them and they're water tight! There's plenty of venting but the gators work great! I use a pair of external gators when I'm in crampons just in case but these are really the best. They're lite but very durable! Probably one of the best things I've added to my arsenal!

This is a great base layer! The merino wool rings true to what you should expect from that material. It fits true to size although it seemed to run a little long in the body and sleeves, but that was a bit of a plus for me. They do stretch a little but always go right back to shape. These are very versatile and extremely insulating and a great addition to the collection!

I'm a watch freak, mostly exotics so Oakley was a bit of a different choice. Ever since this watch came out I've like the look.... like a really high end, wide, bike chain or something like that. It looks pimp, tells the time etc.....whatever. It's wicked cool! That's the basic jist of this watch, wicked cool! Just like all the other reviews, it gets tons of compliments. Size is really nice and it seems bulletproof! If you have an extra kilo laying around it's a great watch to pick up!

We are using these for a little snowshoeing. They seem great. No concern of tearing but they're reinforced just in case. They're plenty adjustable and seem to be a perfect addition to the keep it warm/dry arsenal. OR stuff has always worked very well for me and I expect the exact same from these!

Both my wife and I absolutely love these capris! They are extremely flattering!!! The "lacey" material around the waist, the bottom of the legs and the pockets is a very nice addition. They're very well made, the material feels soft but extremely durable and they stay put meaning they don't ride up or down at all. You may want to size up 1 size as they tend to run just a bit small but other than that you'll absolutely love them!

I picked this up, well I had to have it to match the rotolog watch. I got dark wood and it completely rocks! What can you really say about it, it holds your pants up well....But they're totally pimpin belts! Use the sizing chart above as these belts fit according to that.

Picked this up as our vehicle won't fit all of our gear inside. I got the 1800 and it fits loads of gear! It is extremely easy to use and has been made very user friendly. I was a little worried that it would be difficult install but there wasn't a single glitch! We even did it in the middle of a blizzard and to top it all off, Justin, who completely ROCKS and works at backcountry installed it with me. They really are the best folks around!!!!

This shirt is extremely comfortable. It fits true to size. The material is very soft but also very thin and stays cool in the warm. They dry extremely quickly which was surprising being cotton. Just a really nice shirt for a rippin price!

This is a great addition to the collection! Not a lot to say about them. Fill them with snow or rocks and you're tent stays put! They've worn a very long time and I've never had a problem. I pack them everywhere....better safe than sorry. Nice product and extremely easy to use!

These are the best trail socks I own! There's plenty of cushion. They don't bind or rub at all. They also don't allow or create for any hot spots. They fit true to size and stay put with high impact running. Great buy!

I thought it was all talk.....super light, super warm, very compacting. Man was I wrong! Literally this is the warmest vest I've got. It's just as warm, if not warmer, than my puffy marshmallow vests but is a lot lighter and compacts down to the size of, well less than my fist. They fit true to size. This is a great find if you're looking for something well made with great qualities and function!

My wife loves this top! It's got great details and they've done a great job at creating a flattering fit with very cute accents. The do seem to run just a little small so you may consider sizing up.

Picked this up for my wife and she loves it! She's a huge fan of Lole and this runs true to the rest of their line. It fit her pretty true to size but maybe just a hair on the large size. It's long enough to cover you up. it's got a really nice, cute cut and nice lines.

Picked this up for my wife and she sent me back for the other two colors. They have great support, move well and are long enough to keep you covered up. They fit very true to size. They are also very flattering! Very nice tops for any type of activity.....

It's pretty easy: Soft, moves well, fits true to size, washes well and doesn't seem to retain a bit of stink when you've been in it a bit too long. I've worn mine probably 4 dozen times and been pretty rough with it and I haven't had a single problem with stitching or anything else for that matter. I love it!

I love this combination! Small/Large enough, very light, cleans well and lasts extremely well. The spork works well too and cleans well. Pick it up and it'll turn into your favorite!

This top is VERY comfortable! It has some support but not a ton, but it's plenty for anything lower impact. It seems to be a pretty flattering cut. My wife mainly loves how well it moves! It does fit a little big so we ended up having to drop down a size.

This was one of the finalists of the dozen or so tops my wife bought. She really liked everything about it but we returned it in the end because it wasn't quite as flattering as some of the others. Also, the material seemed to gather under her arms which could definitely cause problems on longer runs. Other than that though the fit is great. You probably want to go down a size as they fit pretty big.

My wife loves these capris! They fit true to size and the colors matched up to the pictures shown above. They weren't the absolute most flattering but they've been great for long hikes, hangin around the house and just about everywhere else. They are just a little stretchy which has been nice for climbing. They also dry very quickly and are easy to keep clean. Stains come out very well in them.

I picked this up and took it out a few times. It was wicked comfortable and adjusted plenty to fit me and remain comfortable. It's a good looking pack with plenty of room. In the end I took it back as it wasn't quite what I was looking for. It's a fairly thin material and I wanted something thicker like the Exposure. None the less this is a killer pack for what it is intended.....

I love these crampons. They're not overly heavy, the expel snow extremely well, they are very easy to put on as well as take off. The anti-balling plates work amzingly well. I've used them about 2 dozen times and never had even the slightest problem.

Picked up this watch and I love it! It's a heavy watch and definitely feels bomb proof. I got the dark wood and the wood grain shows through very well. It looks exactly as shown in the picture above which was a plus. The only funky thing is that the face of the watch is small so it takes a little getting use to but wasn't a big deal. Great watch and something that will last a long time and gets loads of compliments!

I picked up this bivy a couple of months ago and have been very pleased with it ever since! Pros: It doesn't add much weight. It slides over my Big Agnes extra long bag very easily. It also zipped onto my BA bag nicely which I was a little surprised about. It definitely keeps the undesireables out or off of your bag. It did add a little bit of warmth which was nice up in the sinks at -30ºf. Cons: The only thing I could think of was that if you sleep with the bivy above your face you can get a little condensation inside. It did dry very quickly though so it wasn't a big deal. We'll see how it does on the dirt this summer but I expect it will be great!

Okay, so I've had these boots and the FlightDeck for a while now I am more impressed every time I go out on them. I've just spent some time in weather that was down to -10ºf and my feet didn't get cold at all! That's impressive because my feet always run cold. These boots are very easy to slip on over your running shoes, although they tend to stick just a bit if you're shoes are wet. They're very comfortable and I didn't have even the smallest problem when I went out this weekend......Was out for a solid 6.5 hrs! Together with the FlightDeck this is the best combination for showshoeing!!!

Picked up these shoes and they were exactly what I hoped for. They are extremely comfortable and mold well to your feet. They slip on easily but stay put once they're on so if you're running without socks you're not going to get rubbed too raw! They run very true to size. Color is great and it's a bonus that they're green on the enviro. El Naturalista have become my new favorite chillin shoes for sure!

A little more experience. I actually returned the first sweater and I'm not sure if this is a normal thing but it was strange to me. I washed it literally twice. Both times were on the hand wash cycle in cold and laying flat to dry just like the instructions recommend. After the 1st washing it shrunk a little but not much. After the second it shrunk about 3 or 4 inches and went crooked. I returned it for a new one and again Backcountry.com replaced without any questions. So far this one hasn't had that problem and I've washed it more than twice so it seems that we're good to go.

Just picked up a couple of these hats and I'm really happy with them. The wool feels like pretty high quality but standard wool. The inside has great micro-fleece. My skin is really sensitive to wool so I'm really psyched about the fleece inside. They fit very well.... I think I have an average sized noggen. They're great colors.... even match my Mr. Rogers Kuhl sweater. All in all I'm really, really happy with them and look forward to some great use out of them. Just as a side note, I think it's really cool that Backcountry.com has them made in Nepal! Thanks for another great product!

These are some of the very best mountain bike shoes I've worn. I've been through about everything: Shimano, Carnac, Vittoria etc. and these are the most comfortable for sure. These are extremely stiff and do well even climbing out of the trees when you have a throw-off. These shoes also expel mud and crap out of the soles extremely well so when you're in the thick of it with nasty weather you'll be taken care of!

I got one, then I got all three colors. These shirts are really amazing! Wool in the best spots and the liner is really nice. I am using these for everything, including hangin' out at home! They're perfect for layering or climbing on a slight bit chilly day. The fit is very true to size. The only thing I noticed is that the length in the torso seems to be just a hair shorter than a normal Large but that wasn't a big deal for me. All in all I'd say this is another very good quality product from the folks @ Backcountry.com!

I am a huge advocate of Merino wool and these socks definitely fall into that category. They have all the really good properties of the best Merino wool and Backcountry.com has given them a great cut so they fit amazing and they last a very long time. I go between these and the Cocona socks from Backcountry.com depending on how thick of socks I want at the time. Really great socks for a lot more than just skiing!

I absolutely love these socks. These are by far my most comfortable hiking/mountaineering socks! They are very thick so make sure you have room to move in your boots. As with all Lorpen socks these have support in all the right places so your feet feel amazing! Lorpen thought of everything on these babies! Sometimes you just want to buy new socks but want to wait til your others have worn out, but these aren't wearing out at all......

These are great bindings. They're very solid, no lateral movement, no squeeking and feel solid both clipping in and out. I've been skiing with these bindings for almost 5 years now and I'll keep with what works the best. To top it off Backcountry.com has the best service in the business, and on the planet!.... No Joke!

I've loved these pants. I use them as layering mainly but they also get worn as my PJ's. They move well, the fit is right on and they've lasted me quite a long time....especially for how much I've worn them. I use them hiking/climbing in the cold as well as mountaineering, but also for trail running on exceptionally cold days. They breathe very well and you'll never feel like you have some heavy long johns under your clothing. All in all it's another great product from Backcountry.com!

I know my review is only from August but having used these in some extreme conditions I felt another would be worth while. I actually had prescription lenses made for these glasses which are done right at Maui Jim...... in Chicago. Things are getting a bit cold in Utah and I've worn these up in the highest areas of the state, which are only around 12k ft. The interesting thing is that when the temperature drops the frames get more flexible. It's not just a little flexy but a ton! I had them in my pack when I was climbing a rock face and smashed them against the mountain. Then I freaked out thinking they were broken but when I pulled them out they seemed really flimsy. That made me nervous too but when they warmed up they went right back to their original shape. These have just turned into my new bomb proof shades..... and they look really pimp too:)

Before I got these shoes I read all the reviews and thought about it for a long time. I wear a couple of other Sportiva trail running shoes as well as their mountaineering boots and have loved all of them. I agree with a few of the reviews in that they do tend to run just a hair on the narrow side but aside from that I haven't noticed any kind of quirks in them. They do take a couple miles to break in but that's only because of a shank and a little beefy'er sole. I personally like that Sportiva doesn't have loads of room for movement in the toe box because that's always meant more possibilities for blisters. With all of that said, I have loved these shoes. Sizing is dead on, for me, the wear really well and have tons of stability!

This is one of the coolest designs so far! I am a huge fan of Merino Wool. I am also a big fan of Polartec products. Merging the two in this top were a stroke of genius! This is the top I use for everything except trail running........so for hiking/climbing, mountaineering, skiing and it even turned into my jammeez last night. Great shirt and another rockin product from the folks at Backcountry.com! Thanks guys

I really love this shirt. It's a very light, comfortable shirt. I haven't had any issues with the shirt shrinking personally. The fit is really nice. It moves well and dries extremely fast! This is a must have in the closet!

I LOVE Kuhl! I've been wearing their stuff from just after they launched everything as Alf and have been happy with everything from them. This jacket is not exception to that. The level of Merino wool they use is extremely soft and not abrasive to the skin at all. I tend to be very sensitive to wool and this stuff is great! The fit is great. Arms are just a hair long which is nice for their intent of this jacket. The style is cool too. My wife does call this my Mr. Rogers duds. I've had tons of compliments about it, which I couldn't care less about because I've taken it as a layer in wicked cold areas and it's completely excelled at it's job. Great quality and they last forever!

I bought this jacket for my wife and she loves it. She's not really use to a longer coat but is really finding this feature nice as it's getting cold again. The outer shell seems to snag and even tear fairly easily but they also patch up very easily. This jacket is plenty warm and I think is extremely cute! I love it on her for sure:)

This is really an amazing jacket! My body runs a little bit cold so I thought I be doing a little overkill and I was very right/wrong! This jacket is packed with down and makes you look much larger than you really are. I don't know that I head to the disco but for what it's intended to do it's absolutely the best! The exterior is completely windproof. I've been in some wicked cold regions and in some extreme wind in those regions and I didn't feel even the slightest breeze! Part of the beauty of this jacket is that even thought the jacket is completely windproof the material used at the liner inside the jacket is very thin and feels very soft. The collar around the neck is also very soft and kind of tucks you right in. Sizing ran true to the norm. Yeah, it's a lot of money but from what I've experience it's well worth every penny!

I bought these for my two oldest boys. They tend to play hard in the snow. These gloves are champs! They stay water tight and breathe well. The palms are holding up very well also, so I'd say they're well worth the money!

This is an absolutely terrific design/idea! Clipless for the snow? Finally! The sizing is really good, they insulate well, traction is amazing on packed trails and they are really comfortable. The question is with endurance. How long will they last and what happens if they break down far from base camp.... time will tell but so far so good!

In all reality these are the best thing we've bought all year! We have our 2 youngest that aren't able to hike much yet so my wife has had out 5 month old in a sling and I've had my 2 year old on my shoulders.....I love 'em but what a pain! So we bought a pair of these and to the mountains we go. There are tons of adjustments which make them plenty comfortable, including for the kiddo's. These packs feel very stable and actually carry a ton of stuff considering. The only issue now is trying to convince my 5 year old that he can still hike and doesn't need a ride:)

This is a great set of tools! They're plenty light but beefy enough to get the job done. They're weighted well so they feel really comfortable and they grip well so you don't have to worry about losing them! They are really maintaining their sharp points which is a plus for me! I've very happy with them.....I got both the hammer and the adze.

I bought these for my wife as a tech. shell and that's exactly what they're being used as. They are water tight and vent very well! The cut is really nice for some curves and they don't fall easily with any impact. She love them!

I bought these for my wife. She doesn't have particularly cold hands but needs free fingers so she can stick in the kiddo's binky's etc. They're great, very dry, very warm and very comfy! She's really happy with them and plans to use them in extreme temps.

I tried on every pair of high alti. gloves I could find at the Backcountry retail store. Those guys helped me out a ton and were very cool getting every pair out there! Some were too slippery on the palm trying to pack the insulation in there and others just didn't fit well. These fit perfect, have amazing grip all over the palm and are wicked warm! I have cold hands problems and know I'll have zero problems up in the sinks where some of the coldest temps. in the country are registered! I'm really looking forward to testing them out!

I bought these for my wife. She's used them for road running, trail running and some lite hiking. They've been great for everything so far. They have a good amount of cushion and a really descent amount of stability. She rolls her ankles very easily and hasn't had a single problem with these so far! All in all these are a great find.

I love these John's! They are absolutely amazing!!! The wool is really soft, warm and keeps you dry. They dry quickly when they get wet and insulate very well! I bought a pair of the longs and the 3/4's and they're both great. I'll get more since I wear them for PJ's most days!

I bought the biggest towel, which was maybe a little overkill, but it's the best towel I've used! This thing absorbs everything! It dries very quickly and cleans up very well. This is a must have! They're super soft and have a very nice feel!

These babies went all the way. 14 beautiful points for the just in case work great! They feel super stable, are very easy to put on, even with gloves and compact very, very well. Glacier travel is stable, ice climbing is a breeze and I'm happy I bought them for sure!!!

This is an absolutely fantastic product! I've used it to waterproof/UVproof my pack, my tent/rain fly, and a couple of high alti. jackets. The stuff works like a charm! Water beads right off and there's been zero sign of fading so far. It's super easy to use and has great instructions.

These are the best chairs every! These baby's are crazy comfortable and cuddle you up like a nice lounge chair. They recline which is nice for the little afternoon naps in the hills. They're definitely not light!, but the carrying bags are amazing and well worth the extra weight.

I bought this for trail running/hiking. What a great purchase. I sweat a ton from my hair and this thing mops up the bulk of the fluids. At the end of the day I soap it up in the shower and hang dry it and it's good as new the next morning.

This is a great pair of trail shoes. The gators aren't too high but keep plenty of crud out of your feet. The GoreTex breathes plenty well but keeps the undesirable water out of the socks. I'm extremely happy with these shoes......Finally!

This is the best pair of trail shoes I've been into in a long time! I've been through plenty of brands but they always had problems. These are really perfect! Great traction but they don't wear out too fast! No issues with lacing systems breaking down prematurely. I don't feel any hotspots. Just a great pair of all 'rounders!

This board totally rips! My other long board has a much longer wheel base so this seemed just slightly more squirrelly, but it's really the perfect board for carving or dinking around on campus pissing off the po'po. I got the Koa wood deck, which has the most coolness factor. Tons of compliments. It's a great board and I'd recommend it to anyone!

I have worn through literally thousands of pair of cycling socks both for cycling and running and these are the best no-show socks I've ever gotten my hands on. They have perfect support over the entire foot, don't rub funny anywhere on the foot and keep your feet cool enough to run 5 or 6 hours! They have just the right amount of cushion for a comfy run! I'd recommend these to every runner!

These are the perfect shorts. They're very light, almost to the point you don't know they're there:) They breathe well, dry well but don't seem to ride up at all. I love the zipper pocket. I'm really happy with these and would recommend them to anyone anal about good fit/function!

Bought these for my wife and myself. These are the best designed bags ever! There is plenty of room to move around. These things will be plenty warm to do a little 4 season camping. Plus, the design for the pad is the best! To have a pad that moves with you instead of separate and allows you to keep sliding off..... for me it makes complete sense!

I absolutely love these boots! I bought them for winter camping in the sinks! Temps up there are the coldest recorded in the U.S. and these boots came through like champs this past winter. I've had them down to -35 degrees f and my feet didn't even feel the slightest chill. The only advice is not to wear them in luke warm weather. You're feet will melt for sure.

I'm a huge fan of craft! If you haven't tried it, it's about time. I've been wearing their stuff for just over 15 years now. Bought my first stuff in Sweden and have been hooked ever since. The quality is always amazing! I've had hundreds of their products over the years and never had any issue with quality..... not a single time. I wear them year round. They keep you warm and dry in the winter and cool and dry in the summer. Even riding really long climbs in the heat they do their job. Sizing is very true to what they recommend. Literally, this is one of those things well worth the money, every time!

I picked these up for use mainly as an alpine climbing pant. I just got back from 7 hours in snow and am mostly happy with them. I'm already sold on Merino wool qualities and the pants performed extremely well. The move very well as the material stretches in any direction needed. You can use the pockets not only for gear but for ventilation. They run fairly true to size though the waist is a little large for me but there are belt loops so it wasn't a worry. The only trouble I had with them is the elastic on the back of the pant which hits right in the middle of your back. That started out to be a little uncomfortable while wearing a pack, but I got use to it and didn't even notice it was there after 1/2 hour or so. It's a great find and a really great buy for these pants.

My wife absolutely loves these capris! The basics: they run true to size according to the sizing chart above. They come down to about mid calf, or just a little lower than mid calf. The good stuff: They're really, really cute! They are very flattering and Kuhl has done some really nice things like their logo is heart shaped and their name is in cursive on the back pocket. These are really nice capris and look to last a really long time!

I picked these up for my wife and she absolutely loves them! She's doing mixed trail and road running and they've been perfect! Unlike other reviews she feels they have great supoort all over the shoe. They also don't feel like a big flat platform and allow for better travel on uneven terrain. The heel has plenty of support but the forefoot has a little room which allows for both swelling and breathing room. The toe box isn't enormous but allows for plenty of movement and seems to cradle the toes really well. All in all I'd say these are our favorite shoes and will continue to be until they make something better.

The instructions say to do it cold but we could handle that. We added boiling water to the bag and mixed everything in. The texture was like thick pudding and the taste was really, really good! We'll try it using the instructions next time but either way it's gonna taste really good.

My wife like these shorts but ended up taking them back. The colors were really nice, they weren't super low rise and the material was really good quality. The fit was a little trippy though. They are slender, the waist is was a little bigger proportionally but they are super long! Nice in some respects and intersting in others but really good quality overall.

Picked up a pair of these for my wife. She loves them! They're very stable, cushioned well and are well supported throughout the shoe. She runs mostly on the road but on some trails and they've been just what she was looking for. She hasn't been on anything too aggressive in the trails yet but what she has done she's been happy with. They ran just a bit tight but not massively. I picked up a few pair of these for my wife. She absolutely loves them. The fit is great, they don't slide down around your heel at all and best of all is they don't stink after a long run. That was always the biggest complaint is that socks start to wreak but these don't at all. They don't cause any friction in the slightest. Really, really nice socks. She wants a bunch more!

These rollers are great! I hate training indoors but sometimes it's a must. I have rollers that end up with warped drums even worse than training indoors. These are really, really nice rollers! The bearings are extremely smooth and have great durability. They're fairly easy to cart around for warmups before a TT or whatever. They are very stable. I've always been a total believer in kreitler but you'll always pay some big dollars for them. These are changing my mind as they're bomb proof and are very smooth. I'm really happy with this purchase!

I picked this up for my wife and she loves it! Yes, it tells time and tells time well, but it's really cute! It's lasting really well also. The clear portion of the band isn't getting cloudy at all and doesn't seem to scratch easy at all. Just a really nice, cute watch!

This is a great bag especially for the dough. It's rated at 15º but can go well below that. It actually compresses well, a lot better than expected. Zippers don't have up at all so far. Doesn't snag easily and stayed dry even in a pretty damp tent. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a really nice bag that is worth far more than they're charging!

This has turned into my favorite jacket for about everything! I've taken it up on really long alpine climbs in heavy snow, rain and stayed bone dry. The fleece lining is extremely soft as well as the fleece lined pockets. The hood fits well over a helmet and it zips up nicely to somewhat cover your mouth. The arms are just right....a little longer than other brands. Great jacket and what looks to be one that will be around for a long time to come.

I bought these as I thought they'd be great work/whatever gloves. Now I use them for about everything. They're holding up like champs! I treated them with the Nikwax leatherproof they come with and it worked like a charm. Be sure to warm them up before you treat them as it helps the wax absorb much better. The only thing you want to be careful of is the cuff section of the gloves fits a bit tight just when getting them on and off. It did seem to stretch just a bit but in the beginning it was a little snug. Great gloves and I'm really happy with them!

I absolutely love this pack. I'm using it mainly for very long day hikes up high. It's not huge and cumbersome but holds plenty of gear. The pocket in the lid will hold a bunch as well. I went up for 6 hours yesterday and pretty much the entire time it was snowing sideways. All my gear inside the pack stayed dry so I was stoked! The tool holster works great. Fits shovels or ice tools perfectly. This pack does not have a moldable belt but fits extremely well. Plenty of adjustments make this thing function and fit great! The only modification/addition I made was I treated it with Nikwax Tent/Gear proof. Now water beads straight off of it. This pack is great for a long day hiker or a light overnighter. Either way it's a killer purchase!

I just picked one of these up since I've been jealous that my wife has had some of them. She wears hers every day. I'm going to be doing the same. They're great for running, hiking, sleeping or whatever. They fit very true to size and are definitely not too baggy. The arms fit just a little long which is great if you have monkey arms like me or if you use the thumb holes a bunch. The thumb holes are a bit too small for me but it's a fairly easy thing to adjust if you know someone that is half decent with a sewing machine. It would be nice to have them just a hair larger out of the box though. The abyss/smoke is just a little lighter color than in this picture but still a dark blue. In my opinion just another great product from backcountry.com. Keep 'em coming!

I picked up these shoes and just about haven't taken them off since. They're the most comfortable that I have from El Naturalista. Great full grain leather, laces tighten up extremely easily, soles are really grippy and aren't wearing out at all and did I mention they're really comfortable!?! The heel cup isn't overly small but they're designed in a way that they don't allow your heel to feel sloppy. A little funky Spanish style with amazing comfort....give 'em a try! You'll love them!!!

I've been out on these loads of times now and can't say enough good about them. I was worried that the lockin system would have issues with snow build-up or ice or something. Nothing of the sort! The boots clip in and out very easily, even with some massive gloves or mitts on. You're not going to have to worry about any kind of numb feet from bindings or trying to get your bindings hooked up while your fingers freeze off. These things are super easy, very durable and plenty light! I'd recommend them to everyone interested in a great snowshoe setup!

These slippers are crazy comfortable! I wear them around the house for hours and hours. There's not a lot you can say about them. Really comfy, nice fit and they look nice. You want to be a little careful with sizing. I always take a 10 and with that size my toes touch the ends of the slippers. I love them none the less!

Got these on a rippin' deal but they ended up being the wrong size. I gave them to my son and he absolutely loves them. they're his favorites for sure! They move extremely well, don't crank anything up that's not suppose to be cranked and the material is really nice. Great if you're turning into an amphibian or just hanging out.

It was a toss-up between this chair and a Kelty chair that reclines. It was a tough decision but I ended up going with the the Kelty. The seat portion was a little more comfy but that was it. This chair is really beefy and will handle plenty of weight. Great camping chair but don't be fooled into thinking that it's a lightweight because it's very much not!

This balaclava does exactly what it's suppose to do. It breathes well. It blocks out every bit of wind. It moves well. It is very easy to put on and remove. There's not a lot more I was expecting. It's definitely worth the dough! I am very happy with this purchase.

This is my most comfortable sweater. The Merino wool they use is as soft as any other I've got. The fit is really nice and it's really worn into a really cozy blanket. Sizing works just as explained in the sizing chart. If you want a really comfy sweater that's environmentally friendly this is the way to go.

Alright, Look at the vest and not the description. This vest is very comfortable, fits true to size, moves well and seems great for either a little cold or for layering. it's really a killer vest. I gave it a 3 star only because of the description.... which I didn't particularly care for but the vest is seriously great!

This is my sons favorite coat! It's been warm enough for everything we've been dealt in Utah so far which is down into the low teens. Sizing is very accurate, keeps the wet/cold out and the dry/warm in. Breathes well and wears very well!

These shoes are really nice for an all round shoe. They have really good traction and feel extremely stable. Sizing is right in line with everything else with La Sportiva. I probably wouldn't personally take them on anything more intense than a light hiker, or around town as I don't like to roll my ankles but these work great for everything else. Another really nice product from La Sportiva!

These shoes are insanely comfortable! First day I had them I wore them literally from picking them up in the morning til I hit the hay at night. They're very breathable and have amazing craftsmanship! They're pricey but for comfy feet with a great coolness factor I think it's well worth it!

These are descent pant. I'm use to prAna's and still prefer them much more than these. With that said I think the fit is really good everywhere, except for the waist. For me the waist is too large and tends to bunch right in the front which is annoying to me. Other than that they've been really comfortable pants.

I've used this jacket for a bit of everything. Trail running, skate skiing, hiking etc. It's a great jacket for very cold weather but didn't do that well with breathing when things heat up indoors. I'm really happy with the jacket, I just use it for colder temps and for certain types of effort. The brushed fleece is a very nice, soft lining and feels great inside the jacket. All in all it's a great jacket!

This is a great travel vise! the c-clamps are very secure and open plenty wide to mount it to whatever you need. I only use this for XC skis which is works perfect for. Plenty of adjustments for whatever skis you're waxing. There's not really a lot more to say. Nice, stable, colorful vise. If you don't mind the yellow, pick it up!

This really is a great iron! Plenty of surface so it doesn't feel like you're trying to iron with a curling iron. The heat is extremely consistent and the base cleans of old wax very easily. This might seem like a small thing but I've had irons with the cord too close to the base and it seem to always be in the way. This is just in the right spot so you don't have to worry about the cord landing on hot wax! If this thing ever wears out I'll buy a new one for sure!

I don't know about keeping my feet comfortable but this brush does great work on my skis! It's lasted 2 seasons now, which is good for me as I wax about every time I go skiing...... roughly 4-5 days/week. Great brush for anything XC!

What a lucky find! I guess you expect that from a company like TNF and even more that a great company like Backcountry.com would be on top of it having them available to us. I've always hated trying to lace back up the boots to go tent to tent, or let the laces drag and you have wet, dirty laces. These booties have worn very well and weren't any extra in my pack. They compress extremely well! They're wicked warm so no more cold feet getting into bed after a midnight run to the boys room.

These seriously are the best socks. I use them for everyday, trail running, climbing, hiking and mountaineering in warm weather. They're really amazing. Toe socks in general aren't the same. They've got this down to a science, even the direction of weave and thickness of material in between the toes is sorted on these socks. I kept getting blisters in between my toes from trail running so these made complete sense. Since I started wearing them I haven't has a single blister. They maintain shape, wick well and last way longer than my other $15 socks. Great product!!!

I've reviewed them before but have a little more to say. These gloves are turning out to be completely bombproof! I've been using them lately to scramble up some steep rocky climbs in the cold and they're holding up like champs! After a few times of wearing them they start to really conform to your hands well. The leather, I'm sure, will wear out eventually but no signs yet even after 2 or 3 dozen climbs. Especially for the price these are amazing gloves! You'll love 'em!!!

I've got a bunch of these and a few other style of pants the Kuhl has made. They're my favorites! The fit is great. They have turned into those pants you can wear any time of the day or night. They wear forever too. I've had great luck with them and plan to buy more when these are to the threads!

These are some great cycling shoes. I was skeptical when Northwave first hit the scene but I ended up with a contract to wear them for a while when I lived in Italy. Back then the soles were far too soft but they've come a long way since that time. Now their plenty stiff and have all the nuts and bolts of an amazing top end cycling shoe. They've always been very comfortable though. I never felt any hot spots and never had issues with any portion of these shoes. They especially look euro in white/silver....if you wanna go that road.

These are great Euro style socks! Taller cuff, great wicking material, perfect amount of movement in the ankle and enough beef in the toe and heel so they don't wear out too quickly. I personally like the taller cuff! This one is perfect. It hasn't gone complete italiano by raising the cuff nearly halfway up the calf.....it's just right! These are really comfortable socks. Can't really ask for more!

I wore Shimano's for a long time. They always were and always will be super comfortable! They've got incredibly stiff soles and fixed the issue they had back in the day when the stainless steel mesh wreaked mass holes in the toes of your socks. Now their great! The only thing I'd recommend as a side note is: be careful when cleaning the carbon soles. I've wiped them off before, mainly by the cleats, and got some shards of carbon in my fingers.....which really sucks!

These are quite possibly the best shorts you'll ever buy! Craft is anal retentive about details like seems everywhere on the short, length of the bib portion, length of the actual inseam. These are the most comfortable bibs I've ever worn. They move well no matter what position on the bike you're in. They don't ride up or down. They breathe very well. Sizing is right on. They wick sweat extremely well in fact these are the first shorts I haven't felt like a saltine cracker at the end of a 6 or 7 hour ride in the hot sun. A lot of money, yes, but they're worth it , in fact you'll end up buying a lot more than one pair!

I've loved Vredestein tires for a long time. I never really noticed a bigger problem than most in terms of flatting. If you're pulling a ton of miles every week they'll be really comfortable, expensive training tires. These tires feel the most like tubulars without the glue that I've ever used. They grip well, aren't difficult to install and run great. I like to train on them but I know that I'm going to be replacing them a bit more than cheaper, harder tires. I guess that's the price of comfort.

Okay, so now I've used this pack for about everything. Biking, skiing, climbing, hiking, trail running and the list can go on and on and on. It's been great for everything! It's really pretty light alone so running with it was no problem. It's comfy enough that biking/hiking was no problem at all. There are enough compartments and expansion that you can fit plenty of gear inside. This was definitely a good find and well worth the dough!

This is an absolutely amazing pack! Osprey added everything you'll need for a nice climbing outing. I don't pack heavy enough to use this only as a day pack. I can use this for a 4 or 5 day job. I tend to have heavier gear than bulky so my packs end up heavy but Osprey stayed right in line with their norm so this pack is wicked comfortable! They thought of pretty much everything including a daisy chain, several gear loops, shovel or axe regions without the stress of destroying your pack. There's not much extra I could think about adding to this pack. I've been very, very happy with it. The only thing I did was I waterproofed it with Nikwax UV proof and I bought the Osprey Rain cover from backcountry.

This is an absolutely great piece of training equipment! I've used heart rate for a very long time and this is second to none. The heart rate seems very consistent and the distance is very much right on. For what they're made for this is a great tool! I love it!!!

Bought these for my little boy and he loves them.... Say's they're cool! They are very well insulated and are obviously easy to put on. They seem to keep all the moisture out but his hands aren't sweaty either so they are a really nice balance. Great Find!

We bought this for our 5 month old and it's absolutely adorable! This thing is going to be plenty warm.... down..... covers for hands and feet etc. It is really super cozy and did I say that these are adorable!!!

Finally, someone designs a snowshoe that will react like a clipless pedal on a bike but keep you out of trouble at the same time. What a great design! These are bomb proof but not overly heavy. the crampons are plenty beefy. We are really psyched about these shoes! They seem amazing so we'll see with durability. That's the only question. With the clip-in system, I'm hoping there aren't any problems way out off the trails but so far so good!

I bought this for my wife and she is really happy with it. She's got a ton of these in "her drawer" and has complaints with all of them except this one and the GoLite bra. She loves the comfort and says there is plenty of support for her when running or whatever the day brings. She loves it!

I bought this for my wife and she absolutely love it! We've got a lot of gear from GoLite and everything has been great. She's had complaints about these items from other companies..... fits a little funny, seam issues, support issues and the list goes on. This is one of the first that she's had zero complaints about. Staying in line with GoLite there isn't a ton of extra material but she say's there is plenty of support. Running or anything else higher impact has been no worries. She loves it!

I bought these for my wife! We are using these for a little snowshoeing. They seem great. No concern of tearing but they're reinforced just in case. They're plenty adjustable and seem to be a perfect addition to the keep it warm/dry arsenal. OR stuff has always worked very well for me and I expect the exact same from these! Plus they have the cuteness factor with a little flowering on the sides:)

These gators are Bomb Proof! No worries of tearing from crampons. No worries of letting the bold in or the water for that matter. These are exactly what the doctor ordered..... I have an extreme doctor!

This is a must have! Rolls up very nicely with the tent and fits very nicely in the MH bag the tent comes with. Haven't used it as the floor with the fly but I imagine it'll work great. I wouldn't every use the tent without this footprint!

I love these John's! They are absolutely amazing!!! The wool is really soft, warm and keeps you dry. They dry quickly when they get wet and insulate very well! I bought a pair of the longs and the 3/4's and they're both great. I'll get more since I wear them for PJ's most days! I do wish they were a bit longer, maybe 2" or so, but they're really great as is!

I bought these for my wife. She has really loved them! The fit, the sizing, the movement.... pretty much everything. They haven't pilled much at all after having done a ton of exercising in them. The only complaint is that these pants have faded quite badly! Other than that they're great!!!

Bought a pair of these for me and the wife! We use them with our Big Agnes bags and they fit perfect in the pillow pocket. They compress extremely well but fluff up enough when you need them that it eliminates the "flat on the ground" effect. I don't leave home without it anymore!

This is a very, very nice jacket. It's surprisingly warm for the weight! I've used it as a layer under a Pro shell and also alone and stayed warm no matter what. The beauty of this is it packs down extremely well! The fit is cozy! I love this jacket!

This stuff sealed my tent water tight! After one treatment it has made water bead right off and that's been nearly 6 months ago. Maybe twice a year to treat, it's a cheap way to stay nice and dry!

I bought this as a big just in case and found that it worked just as I had hoped! We were racing a nasty storm coming out of Naturalist Basin in the Uintah's and didn't quite make it. I slipped this cover over my pack and the thing worked like a charm. Kept everything in my pack totally try, kept my pack dry too, and got totally dry itself just by shaking it a little bit. One of those things to buy, just in case........ what a great purchase!

I love this jacket! This fit is great. Has descent length arms, more than most, and seems to have the very cool prAna effect! It's wicked warm and looks great so the best of both worlds!

This is a great bag setup! Bought a pair for my wife and I and we absolutely love them. They have more room than most mummy's and are plenty warm. I'd dare to say that 0degree is a little on the modest side for this bag. Mine got a little wet during a drenching and dried very, very quickly. They compact extremely small in an OR compression sack. We love the design of having an integrated pad! It's one of the best things about this bag! Way to go BA!

This is a great compression sack. They're wicked light and make my sleeping bag super compact, which is I guess the intent. They work very well as do all OR products!

Got a few pair for my wife and for myself. They are mid-weight and extremely comfortable. We've used them on fairly long hikes and they're holding up like champs. We not only have no complains but these are for sure my wife's favorite socks!

This sweater is really amazing. For wool it's crazy soft, dries very fast and obviously insulates no matter what. It's great for just kicking around or layering or whatever. My wife calls it my "Mr. Rogers" sweater and I'm happy just the same to wear it whenever, wherever. I love this thing!

This is a wicked comfortable visor. It doesn't wick extraordinarily well but it is comfortable enough to make up for it!

I bought this on clearance and it's been my favorite light jacket/layer I own. It's super soft and breathes very, very well! It also dries very quickly. The only bummer is, I was up camping and my buddy dropped some logs in the fire while I was leaned over doing something and it popped an ember out on my back. Needless to say, this jacket doesn't stand up to embers, so it actually melted to my back a bit, but we patched it and I'm going to wear it for years and years to come!

I bought this set as a very lightweight kit for some high adventures. It's worked like a charm for me. Everything cleans out very easily and hasn't stained so far. I've used them nearly 2 dozen times now and I love them. If you're looking for a very light cook set this is a great way to go.

I've used this kit on some backpacking trips, regular hikes and even a little trail running. I've only had to use a couple of things out of it but everything is there as a big just in case!

I bought this treatment to continue the waterproofing of my mountaineering boots. This stuff works like a charm! I use a lot of Nikwax's products and they're all really good. After an application water literally beads off of whatever you are waterproofing. You wanna stay dry, use their stuff!

This is the best rain/cold weather coat I've ever bought. Went in the high hills, about 11k feet for a few days of camping, and there was an absolute rainfest happening. Didn't have a choice to take it out in a drenching in the back yard so I gave it a good test. This baby came out like a screaming eagle! I stayed dry as a bone and with the little bit of layering that I did I stayed nice and toasty. There are plenty of vents in case it warms up and really OR thought of every possible necessity and integrated into this jacket. I ended up buying the pants as well so it's a great set. Works perfect with a harness and climbing helmet! You wanna stay dry/warm..... this is the rig!

I bought these for my wife, who is super skeptical about shoes. She tried them on and absolutely loves them. They feel like you're walking barefoot with some support. Plus they're super cute!

I had problems in the heat with blisters between my toes and in a couple of other spots on my feet. Took a chance and got a few pair of these and now this is all I'll run with! They keep your feet cool, wear well and don't carry foot funk! I'm hooked. I've got dozens of pairs now and won't ever switch!!!

I've had a hard time with a lot of different gels but these seem to be the best. They've got a great taste but don't give you a wicked amount of shock to the system and then leave you on the side of the.....whatever you're doing. I'll buy them again for sure!

I'll be buying more of these for sure! These babies make your feet feel like you're walking barefoot, except with the right amount of support. They're wearing very well. They've gotten some funky stains on them but I took a wet washcloth and scrubbed them down and they look good as new! These have become my favorite everywhere, everyday shoes!
