Rome 390 Snowboard Binding    Read other reviews of this product

great for the price   04-21-08

nice park bindings. They have plenty of flex, more adjustability than most bindings, the best ankle padding I've ever had, good toe strap system, metal ratchets and sick looks at a relatively low price. Unfortunately, the plastic ladders feel a bit thin/brittle, the disk covers are screw down instead of snap on and you have to completely unhook the toe strap to get your foot out (on Salomon bindings, you loosen but they stay hooked and just fall out of the way). Rome acknowledged my warranty card by sending me a big die-cut logo sticker...sweet.

O-matic Awesome Snowboard    Read other reviews of this product

best park board+   04-20-08

I've only ridden 4 boards in my 3 years of riding, but this one is the best, by far. I couldn't do any tricks before, but, in only one season on the Awesome, I was able to ollie flatground and can now even pop fat front and backside 180s off anything...anytime. It's also the fastest board I've ever ridden and one of the lightest. Finally, it's got killer graphics (strangers have commented they like my board) and is one of the lowest priced boards on the market! Even thought it's engineered toward park/pipe, it's better everywhere than the "all mountain" boards I rode before it. The only thing I could even consider taking points off for is the first one I got was returned due to several factory flaws. It would also be nice if O-Matic would acknowledge my warranty card (I have no idea if they got it) and answer my email.

DAKINE Element Mittens    Read other reviews of this product

good materials - clunky form   02-19-08

Lots of cool features, decent materials and well stitched, but the the form on these things is too universal. The shell is about as form fitting as an oven mitt and the pipe glove/liner is snug in the fingers but all balloony in the palm and wrist. I disagree with the other reviewer - I would order these particular gloves larger than usual. Dakine's sizing chart is inaccurate - it told me Large, then I had to reorder XL which fit better. Maybe their next model up (Gore -Tex) is a better fit.
