This is my first Spyder product: Lots of pockets, lots of options, Gore-Tex and a great looking piece, what more can you ask for? The venting properties of the Gore-tex membrane combined with the pit zip and back vents allowed for some very comfortable boarding in warm temps this past weekend. It’s nice to be able to lie down in the snow at the side of a run and take in the beautiful atmosphere of mountains all around, and NOT have to worry about soaking through your jacket. Everything on this jacket from the zippers to buttons is top quality, sometimes you do get what you pay for!

Not much to say other than: They work! The mirrored lens really cuts down on the UV, especially where there is nice fresh white stuff on the ground. I found it unbearable to take off the goggles throughout most of the day as it was that bright out. The only time I could see a touch of condensation was when there was no wind, I was warning a ninja mask and beanie and SITTING going up a sloooow lift – I am a human heating device - and even then it was just on the right peripheral of the lens. – In other words, they vent very well!

Got to give these a whirl over a little weekend get-a-way and they held up just as I expected them to. First off these keep you TOASTY! I left the liner mittens at home knowing the temperature was only going to be about -5C max. But even at that temp I found myself taking off the gloves when on the lifts just to cool down, this was even with the zipper vents/pockets opened all the way up. Of course with the Gore-Tex liner, the only dampness I had on my hand was from the perspiration when things got too hot. I found the goggle scraper on the right mitt came in handy to scrape snow/ice off my board and the nose wipe on the left mitt came in handy for just that. The construction of the mitt does seem very solid. Running too close to trees and carrying my board along the edges did no damage what so ever to the palm. I look forward for using these for many trips to come.
