it's good   01-23-08

Ok, first things first: I'm a big guy. I run about 230 and a lot of it's muscle. I do not abuse gear, but I'm not exactly gentle with it either. These bindings have been pretty good to me. The listed flex is "stiff" which I disagree with though; I've been on Ride MVMTs that were stiff and some other Burtons that were stiffer. These are plastic bindings that have some flex to them IMO. Good: adjustability, comfort, flex, cushy wooshy straps, ergonomics of the highbacks, ratchets feel very solid and quick, very light Not so good: adjusting the position of the front foot support or toe cap mount slot requires you to take the binding off the board. I have no real issues with these bindings. After maybe ten trips, I like them a lot. Unfortunately, I bought K2 Prime boots. I went to buy Burtons, the K2s rubbed my feet like a Thai hooker and that was that. So, my bad and I won't knock the binding for that. I'll say this by way of warning: if you aren't riding Burton boots, make sure you check the size of the bindings. Burton's "L" binding runs a little big with more forward lean inherent to match their boots. I didn't match them before I bought them because it seemed they would work; they don't. Way too much room for my 9.5 K2s, I can't bring the toe cap in any further and there's too much lateral movement in the heel area.
