Rockers rock
02-10-09 ![]() |
I've put 10 days on my legacy-r and at this point it is the best board I've ever owned. It's stable at any speed and holds edges on any terrain. Having owned top of the line boards from burton, lib-tech, arbor, K2 and others I can say that the rocker that Never Summer has put in on their boards is the most significant improvement I have seen in snowboard development in the past 5 years. The fact that Never Summer gives a 3 year warranty can't be over looked either. I went back and forth between this and Lib Tech's skunk ape and it was Never Summer's warranty that sold me. I loved my old Lib Tech but it was dead after a season and a half. With the rocker keeping your nose and tail up you can go down a size and not get bogged down in powder. Or you can keep the same size and hit powder like you were on a larger board, which is what I would recommend. |

Always gets a comment

With cellphones these days the only reason to own a watch is as a conversation starter. Nixon seems to understand that. You'll have to decide for yourself if this watch is your style. I will say that the leather panels do tend to come off. I'd recommend a preemptive dab of super glue to make sure they don't come off unexpectedly. If you are feeling real crafty you could just peel them off and design your own panels. I did some out of butterfly wings and resin that really upped the conversation factor, which is the whole point anyway. The battery seems to go fairly quickly on these watches for some reason, I think I've replaced mine twice in 2 1/2 years. |

Its a hoodie for Pacific Northwest people

I'm not sure I would use this for the recommended uses listed here but it makes a good go to jacket for anyone who lives in the constant dampness that is the Pacific Northwest. Its got a clean design, sheds water and keeps warm well enough for moderate everyday use and the occasional snowshoe trip. Its not the kind of hardcore jacket that the Gammas and Sigmas are but some people don't need to spend that kind of money for a jacket engineered for conditions they'll never experence. Quality is what I would expect from Arcteryx, even if it is made in China. I don't put this jacket on and think 'man this is so poorly made compared to my Canadian made jackets'. I guess not all Chinese factories are the same. Who would have figured? |
