Marmot Shot 9 Component Jacket - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

I think this jacket is warm, the black looks good, and is a decent jacket overall The liner is attractive enough to wear on it's own. The jacket fit me well(Small, 140lbs/5'7), so I did not have any size issues other than the length. However, there are a few things I didn't like (YMMV) so I ended up returning it. 1). The "soft" shell is much harder than some of the other Marmot jackets I've seen. I felt like the shell of the shot 9 was louder than the hard shell I usually wear. Also, it simply did not have the suppleness I wanted in a soft shell. 2). The zipper for the arm is not covered well inside the jacket and I got a solid scratch when I tried the shell without the liner. 3). The color of the Wood/Burnish is not as flattering in real life. The arms are an odd greenish/brown instead of the beautiful hue shown in the picture. 4). The jacket I really short. If I sat down my midsection would be exposed. This is not a great feature on a 10 degree day. 5). I found the collar design on the shell to be odd. It juts out a lot in the front and is just bigger than any other jacket I've ever seen. A note: I'm one of those people that shifts between a small/medium depending on cut/brand. Some of the issues above probably are due to that.
