my legs want me to buy more...   06-20-09

i love these pants. i've worn them climbing, hiking, and to physical therapy (not a result of climbing or hiking, btw). they are super soft, super stretchy, and fit very nicely such that 2 random women at the post office told me i have a great bottom. :) i'm not saying the pants will give you a dazzling derriere, but they certainly will flaunt the one you've got. i must buy more!!

solid... almost too solid   06-19-09

whoa. this thing is heavy, bulky, but will protect your board very well. i have the daylight deluxe, and like it better for everyday travel because it's lighter weight, but the noserider is way sturdy. zipper for the skag slit is a nice touch.

ruh-roh, rorge   06-19-09

this thing fits like a freakin' jet pack. i'm sure it would protect the spine nicely, but it's so bulky and uncomfortable i would never actually wear it riding. sent it back. my husband has a pro-tec spine protector and it's way more comfortable, even in a men's large. i'll be picking up one of those instead.

prana fits funny   06-19-09

i love the style, but, as with other prana tops i've bought, the sizing is off. i've got a 36-37inch back, a 28 inch waist, and the medium always fits too big. maybe i just like my tops trampy, but guess i'll stick to buying small.

will update next year...   03-17-09

so if i'd stopped to pick these up at the post office the day they came, instead of hurrying to go ride, maybe i could give a better review. but i didn't, and am now in a full leg cast. no joke. a mid-air collision (hit from behind by another rider- once again, no joke) resulted in my leg & my riding being obliterated. i don't think these guards would have prevented the ligaments in my knee from rupturing, because it was a side impact and the guards are mostly for the front of your knee and shin. they definitely would have been nice for the shin shots i take on rails. the knee component has an outer shell + an inner pad, but i might keep wearing my ghetto rollerblade knee pads on top because they are mongo protective. i'll let you know next season, assuming my leg functions by then. conclusion: knee pads could have a bit more meat to them. good impact protection for shins. super comfortable. (i have tried them on, because i'm a loser and hobble around my house playing with all my gear while convalescing).

good design, questionable execution   03-17-09

my husband wears these, and he thinks the design is brilliant. he loves them. i give them a 4 because his knees are still getting beat up and bruised with these guards on, and i'm wearing old rollerblade knee pads that protect me 100%. he takes more falls than i do, so maybe if he were in my knee pads he'd be worse off. conclusion: might not be as good as my old-school rollerblade knee pads, but offer good protection and you should get them if you're not wearing pads currently.

size sketchy, but love this top   03-16-09

accidently got a small shipped to me instead of a medium and i liked that fit better (i usually wear a medium). that being said, i own 2 lola tops and love them for climbing, hiking, lifting, yoga, etc. stays in place and i never have to readjust the straps because they are crossover, which i love. nice open back, which is flattering. i'm not big-busted and the top still flatters the front, too. highly recommend. backcountry's return policy/exchange policy makes the size issue not too much of an issue.

excellent sport tank   03-16-09

fits well - i especially like the keyhole back. pocket in back is great as well. fits true to size. incredibly comfortable, doesn't need adjusting while wearing. stays put and looks good. the zipper chest opens to white mesh that actually looks good and does help vent the top - i tend to wear it that way because i roast when climbing. this top is excellent, i want to buy more... and i actually think it's worth the asking price, which is rare.

Mountain Hardwear Lhasa Sport Tank Top - Women's    Read other reviews of this product

looks stylie but runs big   10-18-08

i usually wear a medium or large depending on the cut of the top - with tanks, medium is my standard. the lhasa seems a bit loose and not as flattering as i would have expected, likely because it runs a big large. i will try to exchange for a size small (i don't wear small very often) and see how that works. pretty top, very hot... if it fit.
