Small
06-24-09 ![]() |
This pad would be good for a grom. It's small. Some other pads would have two extra small peices up front (think the Bruce Irons pad) for when you're accelerating further up on your board. this doesn't have those. With this pad, you're either always back on the tail, you're going to rely on more wax, or you're just a little fella. I guess some people like the simplicity. Do you? |

Unique!

Ever felt like surfing in your jeans? Me neither. But I have wished that my boardies were a bit more functional. These are the answer. There are lots of pockets for keys, cash, an extra coldie, etc; but these trunks are not overly bulky or cumbersome. They're actually really soft and have a nice flex to them. These are the perfect "somebody please push me into the pool" shorts you didn't know you wanted until now. |

Take 'em seriously when they say "long"
02-05-09 ![]() |
I don't know who they used for a model on this shirt, but he must have been 6'6". I ordered a Large, and it fits great in the shoulders and chest. Plus, the organic cotton is real nice. The only problem is that the thing does its best to touch the ground. You could wear the thing without pants and not be breaking any laws. I guess some people are into that? Be forewarned. |

Great Jacket, But Big
11-13-08 ![]() |
This is a killer jacket, but be aware, it is sized very big. I guess some people like it that way, but for me it's too extreme. I wear Large most of the time, occasionally XL and sometimes M. The large drapes on me and my fingertips barley peek out of the sleeves. I am returning it for a Medium. |

Gets it done
06-15-09 ![]() |
This jacket has a nice cut and gets the job done. There are a few things that I don't particularly like, however. One, though it's cotton, you can't throw it in the drier (according to the tag). Two, linked with that, the cotton is sort of a rough texture and grabs lint in the wash like it was velcro. Since you can't use the drier to fluff it up, you're left using tape to pull off the lint. And three, the bottom of the front pockets don't sink down -- they are cut straight across. This means that it is less than totally comfortable to rest your hands in the pockets, and if you put anything in them, it's real easy for it to fall right out. |

Semi-relaxed
06-15-09 ![]() |
I'm not sure what "relaxed" means anymore. It could mean loose, or it could just mean a bit less constricting than the tight jeans that are all the rage these days. These are on the less relaxed end of the spectrum. Maybe I should have sized up one inch. I'm usually a 32, sometimes a 33. The 33s in these would fit me better. As far as quality, they are built really well. |

Heads up
05-23-09 ![]() |
This is a pretty cool jacket. You should be aware of a few things though. One, it is polyester, not nylon (I reported this, so the listing will probably change to reflect it); two, the lining is covered with pictures of bikini-clad ladies (my wife wasn't stoked); three, it does have a casual-around-town cut, but the material is a little shiny and makes noise when you move (it's waterproof after all). I'm sending mine back, but only because it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. If this kind of thing is what you're looking for, you'll dig it. |

Puff!
05-05-09 ![]() |
This was a great investment. I've never had a jacket like this before, and it's like I've entered a whole new world of camping comfort. Recently, my wife and I hiked to a high mountain lake with no one around. It was cold -- below freezing. I, of course, did not hike with the coat on, but it is so light and compact (with the stuff sack) that it's easy to carry. Once there, it provided tons of warmth -- amazing how something so light can be so warm. Plus, it serves as an EXCELLENT pillow at night (not in the stuff sack though, because that takes away all the benefits of the down). I couldn't be happier. |

Cut-offs
04-07-09 ![]() |
I couldn't tell from the description ('cause it was about a Greyhound bus trip), but these are cut-offs. That means that not only do they have a somewhat unfinished hem at the bottom, but also they are much narrower at the bottom than normal shorts. I wouldn't have bought them had I known. If you're into that look, you'll be stoked. |

Half-finished
04-05-09 ![]() |
This is a cheaply-made "jacket" designed to look cool and sell cheaply, but not actually perform as an insulating layer. There is no lining whatsoever, just cheap exposed frayed seams on the inside. It looks cool, but I'd be willing to pay twice as much for it if they'd have paid a little attention to detail on the inside. |

Can't judge a book by its cover
04-05-09 ![]() |
On the outside, this is a stylish sturdy jacket. But like a cardboard Hollywood set of a brick wall, it's all an illusion. This "jacket" is nothing more than a paper-thin shirt with pockets. It's not even made well; all of the seams are cheap overlock seams. But, if you are interested in the form more than the function you might dig this, because it does "look" cool. |

Lucky me!
03-31-09 ![]() |
I am so glad I picked this off of Steep and Cheap. It's a perfectly simple waterproof shell that has no extra slack and no extra unnecessary pockets. The hood is nice and deep. I'll wear this on the mountain as well as around town in a downpoor. |

The skate is on!
03-31-09 ![]() |
I picked these off of Whiskey without thinking much because the gig was almost up. Then after reading the reviews I started to second-guess my purchase. I don't like narrow shoes. Well, I am very pleased with them -- I don't think they are that narrow. They've got plenty of padding to mold to my feet with a little breaking in. I will say though, there isn't much padding down below -- definitely for those who like to "feel the board" when they skate, bruised heals and all. |

A little off, but not bad
03-30-09 ![]() |
It's hard to tell what is meant by "relaxed fit" anymore. Are they baggy, or are they just less than skin-tight. These are a bit slimmer than some other "relaxed fit" jeans. Or maybe they're just sized a bit small -- maybe I should have gone for size 33" rather than 32" (which I tend to be about 95% of the time). Also, the pre-worn lines behind the knees are too low. They rest on my upper calf, which looks totally unnatural and kinda' lame. |

Timeless

Whoa. No plaid. No camo. No massive cargo pockets. A simple pair of sturdy cotton shorts are a rare find these days. Pinch me -- is it 1993? |

These are great pants. I am almost always a 32. I ordered a 32. Holy cow! They fit like a 32. Nicely built too, and they flex quite a bit. Two thumbs up. |

Downsize
03-26-09 ![]() |
This is a really nice shirt. It's made well, and the pictures don't really do the pattern justice. The one thing is, like another reviewer already said, it's BIG. I'm almost always a Large. I ordered a Medium after reading the review. It fits perfectly. |

Keep it Simple
02-07-09 ![]() |
I dig the Pancho Pad. It's pretty simple compared with some other pads that have a lot more pieces, and good for someone who doesn't like a massive arch bar or kick. It's perfect for a round pin, but works well on a squash too. |

Juarez is a big boy
02-06-09 ![]() |
Careful, this runs big. I'm almost always a large. In this, I'm a Medium. Also, the "sulfur" color is more of a peach/salmon color than it looks in the picture. However, it's a nice shirt -- I'll give it that. It's made really well, and it's organic cotton. |

Watch out on the Medium Tall
03-24-08 ![]() |
Careful now. The Medium Talls are mislabled. They are really Medium Large - very different. It's a killer suit, but it's a real bummer when it would only fit you if you dropped an inch and a half in height and gained 15 pounds in weight. It's too bad this still hasn't been corrected. |
