Great range, great cam for low weight and price

I'm surprised i haven't heard more about these cams. I just picked one up and has a great expansion range for a wonderful price. If you climb enough you won't need the range of the OP link cam and the extra range beyond the BD 0.5 adds a little more comfort for about the same weight. It is great for anchors if everything else is used. The price is unbeatable. They are now on special in the backcountry outlet and it is rare to find good cams on 30% off sale. Well worth the sale price for such a simple design! |

Choice SoftShell

Now this is a soft shell and at a great price. I am 6'2" and about 160lbs and the large fits well. It is a bit bulky in the arms but the chest isn't too large and the sleeves are long but a bit of extra baggage. It would be nice if it had an internal pocket and hook and loop closure around the wrists but not a big deal. The fabric is the thickest for a powershield I have seen, thicker than my Gamma MX Hoody. Fabric is super durable and will last for years. The pockets are glued which is a nice addition. Check the Jacket out, you'll be glad you did! |

comfortable and smell free

after wearing these for multiple days in a row on a climbing trip, i couldn't be happier with the fit and fabric. I had a pair of icebreaker boxers that wore out much faster than i would have liked and these looked like they would hold up much better. The fabric is a bit thicker but the seams appear to be stronger. I have a 31" waist and these fit me like a dream. they don't ride up at all and stay where i want them all day even in a harness. well worth the money and look like they'll last for years. pick a pair up! |

Not standard marmot quality

This jacket is not one of the signature marmot pieces. It must have been made in limited quantities for BC. The pit zips are about 5" and lay above the arm material. I have never run into pit zips like this before. I'll be returning it for sure. If you care to disassemble the pit zips and sew it back together it could be a nice jacket. The hood is not helmet compatible which is a let down. It has interesting front zippers (one on top and one on bottom) not sure why this is the case. It is much shorter than any other medium jacket I have purchased (6'2" and 160lbs) but a large would be way too baggy in the stomach/chest. Not a recommended jacket, check out real marmot gear like the king pin or go with arc'teryx. |

Marmot Kingpin Softshell

Great jacket for ice climbing except for the hood. If the jacket had a helmet compatible hood it would be perfect. It's a little short with the hood up and a helmet on. Great fabric and breathes well. Spent days in single digits with a this fleece and it worked well when climbing. The pitzips are a nice way to ditch the extra heat when being active. If you don't wear many helmets then this is a great jacket, weight your options if you are going to wear a helmet. |
