First Impressions of the Interval

I bought 3 based on the description alone, and the bag definitely delivers. It's very well thought out & I expect it to last, even with real surf use. I gave one to my brother for Xmas, and it took him ~10 min. to find every feature (the wax compartment is very sneaky). The digicamo/blk ones I got are made out of canvas-thick ripstop nylon (think LeSportsac on steroids), but the tan/brown pinstripe one is actually a more flexible, but equally thick canvas. They both feel very tough, but if either material would be a deal-breaker, you should ask what's what. I have 2 gripes: 1) It doesn't affect the bag's functionality in any way, but the headphone cord slot is on the wrong side on my one digicamo bag. It's on the mobile side, not the iPod side. I don't know what happened since the quality control on the bag otherwise seems top-notch. 2) The cooler pocket could be bigger. Don't expect to fit much more than the four Red Bulls pictured. Realistically, because the pouch is flexible, you could probably fit a bottle of water, a sandwich and maybe a yogurt and a very little baggie of... your favorite snack. Not a bad lunch by any means, but don't think you're rolling up to a beach party with an ice-cold six pack in there (unless of course, you get creative use with the wetsuit bag). Anyway, stay safe. -A |

Where's the maguro?

This shirt fits true to size. I'm 5'10", ~150lbs. I wear un-shrunken smalls or shrunken mediums. I got this in a small and it fits just how I like it (not like spandex, but not baggy... it "fits"). It may be a little longer than most smalls, but it's perfect because I'm skinny, not short. The sushi print is photo quality, but actually much shinier than the pictures suggest. It's has a soft rubber feel that will squeak if you rub the print against itself. Anyway, I'm surprised that they were able to get a good picture of it without glare. I don't know why Analog chose to make it shiny. I figured it would be a satin finish to match their sushi boardshorts. The finish of the print is the reason I reduced the rating to 3 stars. Otherwise the shirt seems to be of great quality and fit. FYI, the sushi repeats before maguro or tai make a showing, but if that's a deal-breaker, you need your head checked. Say safe, -A |
