Superfly.   08-14-09

This jacket met my expectations upon arrival, and even surpassed them in some ways. I figured with the price point being lower than ARC or MHW, it would be a "lite" version. It is light, but it's heavy on the right features and the build quality is top notch. The material is excellent. The welded seams are awesome. I'll definitely be buying more BC branded gear after this because it's THAT good. I'll update my review AFTER the fall/winter beating I'm going to lay on this. (XL - 6'2" 220 - 43 chest - I don't like my stuff Euro tight or gangsta baggy, fit is perfect.)

Disappointed   02-11-09

Like ski boots, I guess you have to try a bunch of goggles on until you find the right fit for your dome. Wisdom was hardly a wise choice for me... my broad nose didn't let the goggles sit naturally and pushed them waaaay up on my forehead. My eyes were at the bottom of the lens opening, and even pushed way up, they left a huge gap between the goggle and my helmet... which the strap didn't work with at all. Returned and went for the much more universal fitting Spy Soldier. Glad I returned them!

Great Goggs   02-11-09

I love these. They conform to your face for a perfect fit, the lens provides a crisp image, and the bronze tint really does perform in a variety of light conditions. I prefer the bronze to persimmon even in low light; clearer image and better contrast for me. On top of it, they're super stylie and fit perfectly with my low profile helmet.

The Bigness   01-10-09

I'm thinking about getting a second pair that are polarized, because these shades are pretty killer. Big coverage, nice wrap, good peripheral vision. Definitely more of a street shade than an active/performance style. Only complaint is they fog a lot in the cold. They're pretty huge, my dad has a cinder block for a head, and they looked big even on him.

Cobrizzle   01-09-09

I like these gloves a lot. 2 degrees with 50 mph gusts? Hands were warm. Near freezing in the rain? Hands were dry. My only gripe is that the wrist closure is a bit loose, so snow can get in there if it makes it under your cuff. Got the tan ones, my friends are always telling me I forgot to put my gloves on... they think I'm into the au naturale thing which will hopefully yield some apres ski dividends.

Right Coast Perspective   12-31-08

After skiing these a few days in a bunch of conditions, I really like these skis. Floated in the foot deep pretty well, ripped the soft/wet snow and cord, and felt controllable on ice. They are big planks (wide) by east coast standards, so you really need to lay on them to get an edge. These babies need room to run, so if you like to ski on "auto-pilot" I would say go for something else that is less apt to cruise at breakneck speeds. For those of us that like to charge and make big turns, they're great. Mission 183 w/ Look PX12, 6'2" and 215 lbs.

Unexpected...   09-11-09

I was really excited when I purchased these. Aviator style? Cool. Supposedly the best lenses in the biz? Cooler. Integral hinges that take a beating? Coolest. Got them... Frame material is stiffish plastic and the hinges consist of roughly a 5 mm tongue pinned into a groove. CR39 lenses are plastic ("polycarbonate"), not glass, which I knew. Biggest hang up is the style, if they blew these things up sizewise, I would keep them despite all the downsides. (An inch wider, a half inch taller) The reality is that these are for small to medium faces (lady faces perhaps?). As a bigger guy, I look like I'm wearing children's glasses, and the quality is right there with the look... They did come with a nice case though.
