Angus is absolutely right is does need a wind blocker. BUT unless you have a 2 burner full blown camp stove all open burners need a wind screen.. About cooking in the trunk... well would you really want to cook over 20 gallons of gas in a vehicle that might be your only shelter in a emergency..... NOT a good idea,,,,, DON't do it!!!!!

This is another great Nalgene quart water bottle, reasonable drop proof and adds no after-taste to water. Its shape is perfect for my backpacks. A real must have for a backup water supply Happy I bought 2

Great for cool nights on the trail, great for cool days hiking; if you have one of these hotel shower caps, put it over it and become warm and rain-proof. CON: sized SMALL, get the largest size. Almost too snug!

Great bottle to set aside for cooking and washing.
