Warm and Smelly?

I recently purchased 2 Marmot Sawtooth down bags from BackcountryStore.com to use at the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. I purchased a long for my son and a long wide for myself. I love everything about the bags EXCEPT the fact that the down appears to have a foul odor. It reminded me of the smell of a wet dog. The bags did not get wet and they were new and hadn't been slept in yet. Without the odor, I'd rate these a 5. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do about it? |
