Solid Binder
02-18-09 ![]() |
Since 2004, I have been riding the 04 P1s and now the 08 P1s, and both have been solid performers. They have matched up well with my old burton rulers and now my 32 lashed. They might not be the stiffest binding out there, but I have never felt like I needed more support, and there is still enough flex to let you tweak grabs, etc. One of my biggest gripes with bindings is when the ratchets slip (usually on cold, snowy days) and neither of my sets of P1s has even done that. The straps are super comfortable, and the bindings are still very responsive even when the straps aren't really tightened down. Definitely recommended. Only potential issue, not really a biggie, is that the baseplate is only padded on the Burton 3 hole version, not the 4 hole version; so if you don't have a burton board and this is a big deal to you, might be something to consider. |

Super Warm

These gloves are really warm and keep your hands completely dry. I've worn them in everything from spring slush to 5 degree powder days, and my hands have never gotten cold. I usually need mitts to keep my hands warm on super-cold days, but I wanted to give these a try, and they worked great. With the liners they come with, my hands have never gotten cold. Good buy, not super expensive. |

Great All Mountain

I've been riding an '08 158 this season (I'm about 5'10", 160) and I've been very happy with this board from the start. I have the back binding one setting forward (3-D mounting) and it still keeps my floating in a foot or so of powder without getting squirrely on hard pack. I was expecting this to be a great powder board, of course, but what has really impressed me is its stability carving on high speed groomed runs. I would imagine the new ICS mounting system makes it even more versatile between powder and hardpack. Its a little tough to ride stiff, but it might be that I just suck at that anyways. All around great board for everything but park days. |

Runs a little small
02-18-09 ![]() |
Got these for my GF in a small, and they ended up a bit tight for skiing. I had her try on a bunch of other brands at a ski shop, and the small was perfect in a bunch of other brands (burton, orage, DC). Maybe Sessions stuff just runs a bit small? Other than that, the pants were nice. Good features, and they weren't too low rise like some other pants can be. |
