Quality comes with a great price tag.

Simple lightweight design great for running at night and doesn't bounce, rain proof/impact resistant, the four 5mm LEDs are bright and provide a wide beam so you don't have that tunnel vision feeling some headlights make, long battery life/easy battery change. Great buy. |

Smart Buy
11-24-08 ![]() |
Smartwool Beanie is made from fine merino wool, its super comfortable, doesn't itch, plus perfect for all conditions warm or cold. I have a couple of the SmartWool Beanie's I use in the fall and winter for training runs then I toss this in my pack when I'm up in the mountains in summer. Another nice thing is its machine washable. Additional note product does run small. |

Snowtacular
11-17-08 ![]() |
Get ready for some fun this winter. No need to hit the treadmill with the Atlas Run Snowshoe you can get in a great workout in the snow. It works best on groomed or packed trails and will get a little difficult if you use them in the backcountry with the narrow design and small crampons. Tie on a pair of trail shoes step right in to the Atlas Run Snowshoe, the straps are comfortable and easy to use, I haven't had any problems and I've used it rigorously. Highly recommend. |

Great upgraded to a classic design
11-10-08 ![]() |
The best hand held water bottle on the market compared to a number of other brands I've tested Top reasons: Kicker Valve is easy hands-free and simple to use while running Breathable nylon mesh strap wraps hand comfortably and stays tight. New clear UD bottle design, now I can see my fluid intake and know which bottle has water or electrolytes. |

The best in its class
11-03-08 ![]() |
CW-X Ventilator tights integrated a design similar to Kinesio Taping method that gives major support to the muscles in the hamstring and knees. I've used this model in some very hot weather races and in cooler weather too, I highly recommend any product by CW-X they're a step above the rest. |

Well Made
09-12-08 ![]() |
The North Face Arnuva 50 Boa is well built well designed running shoe for a variety of running styles and conditions. I feel the price tag is a bit hefty and I’ve also had issues with the Boa lacing system pinching but overall its a decent shoe for built for road and trails. On fit I would classify NF shoes made wider than most running shoes so take that into account for size. Im a 10 and find the 9.5 extra roomy. |

Green machine
09-09-08 ![]() |
Before any long distances runs I swap out the flimsy manufacturer insoles and plug in the bright green Superfeet and hit cruise control. I really like this specific brand and model because it still allows my foot to flex naturally in the shoe and gives my high arches the extra support they need. Superfeet are super comfy and the trim fits nicely in all my running shoes. |

1 hit wonder
05-06-08 ![]() |
This is a great light weight performance trail shoe, for various terrain, flexible, dependable and feels comfortable for all day runs. It took my feet a few excursions to get use to the narrow shoe design, but now it’s my favorite pair in my arsenal. Plus the sticky outsole handles the rocks like a charm. Happy running… |

10x better than Gatorade
12-03-08 ![]() |
Great tasting formula containing Maltodextrin - much better option than sugar like most sport drinks and more easily digestiable carb Vitimun E - great antioxidant Whey protein - to accelerate muscle development and aid in recovery Quick think - if your out for a long run or backcountry hiking Whey protein like milk can go sour so try to keep it cold or place the mix in zip lock bags. Enjoy. |

Best Deal

Unbeatable price vs. quality - North Face Velocitee Crew simply does what is expected and will keep you dry throughout the seasons. On a personal note - shirt does run small; next one I get will be a large. |

Silkiest T-shirt

All the Patagonia Capilene performance T-shirts are wonderful, I prefer the Capilene 1 for it's soft silkiest material. It's very comfortable, breathable, dries sweat fast and is perfect on hot days or as a base layer in the winter or fall, works well for any endeavor even if if your kicking back. |

Best running/hiking/casual hat ever made, Patagonia’s Airius lightweight fast drying fabric and air mesh side panels absorb and keeps sweat from beading down into eyes, plus the long brim offers plenty of sun protection and if you feel like getting a little sun just flip brim up also wears just as comfortable backwards. The Patagonia Airius gets better with age and is machine washable; you’ll be a happy camper with this purchase. |

Beware
11-21-08 ![]() |
Thought I'd mention the Polar RS200 I bought came with the T31 coded transmitter which is not pictured above the one above is the WearLink a much more comfortable model. To the heart of the matter I really haven't used my Polar RS200 to its full potential, but when I did I was very happy with the features. It also makes a wonderful everyday watch and has taken its share of abuse. |

Ultra Comfy
11-21-08 ![]() |
I've been critical of baggie/long shorts designed for running but after buying the Patagonia Ultra Short I no longer wear those short shorts. The Ultra is the do-it-all of shorts, comfortable, breathable, lightweight prefect for running any distance, hiking, walking, camping and the list goes on. Deep front and back pockets let you stash all that you can image, pockets even hold my wind jacket. Plenty of freedom for movement and thanks to the soft material chafe free. Guaranteed satisfaction! |

What wind
11-20-08 ![]() |
Top reasons the Marmot Ion Windshirt rocks - Efficient when the wind howls Hooded for added protection Easy zip on/zip off vs. pullovers Lightweight Stashable Additional notes – Keep in mind it’s designed for wind not rain. Putting gels in the front pocket caused some annoying bouncing, pocket on back or side would be better. After significant wear cuffs lost elasticity, both aren’t a big deal with all you get for the price. |

Like running in Marshmallow & fluff
11-17-08 ![]() |
Don’t get me wrong here there is a lot to like about Pearl Izumi SyncroFloat 2 with its unique slipper upper, high rebound forefoot, and SKYDEX Heel crash pad but it's a lot of FLUFF. I've been using the Syncofloat for long runs and for some reason I can't wait to get home and take them off, they feel awkward and bulky forcing me to change my natural gait and stride. I’m going to have to put these in the closet and try the Pearl Izum STREAK. |

A CLASSIC MTN. FIT
11-17-08 ![]() |
La Sportiva Rajas have a great fit and feel, first few times out on the trails I found them to be a little stiff but a few long runs helped loosen things up. These are built for running up and down mountains, nice support/protection when up on ridges and granite outcroppings. The Rajas are the perfect companion for a rugged back country excursion. |

On long runs I swap out the flimsy manufacturer inserts and slip in the Superfeet Insoles. Superfeet trim is a perfect fit for all my running shoes - light, comfortable and offers long lasting support for my high arches and narrow feet yet still allows my feet to flex in a natural motion. The BOMB
09-09-08 ![]() |
For some $13.95 may sound like a lot for a pair of socks but these aren’t your traditional gym socks. I’ve put them through the ringer year in/year out, when trail running these socks keep my feet warm in winter and cool in summer, these socks have prevent many blister’s allowing more time to enjoy my surroundings and less time worrying about my feet. Happy FEET |

Not impressed
05-06-08 ![]() |
*Buyer beware* 1st I wear a men’s shoe size 10 and I had to buy these in a 9 a whole shoe size down. I’m not sure what mountains North Face was running when they designed this model but this is no mountain running shoe. But if you’re looking for something that’s comfortable for a long day trail run these will do well. Happy running :-) |
