I just got these for this season and took them out to A-Basin CO last week. Being a new binding I judged them on how quickly they loosen up and lateral stability with the trailing ski. Flawless! In fact I actually had to loosen the cartridges 3 or 4 times after the first setting. I'm a little concerned about all the plastic components but on the flip side, most replacement parts are cheap and easy to replace with basic tools. Good for unfortunate breakdowns in back country. These are kinda old school design but if it aint broke don't fix it right..:-) Buy um.

I bought this pack for maybe a less common reason than most people. I work at a restaurant on Snowmass Mt. I needed a pack that wasn't bulky because of every day use but, could hold one change of cloths and a few extras like your basic saftey gear. Its perfect! Its great for the 5 day a week ride up the chair on a cold morning. I haven't tried hiking BC with all my Tele gear yet but have hooked them up and filled the pack, it all seems to fit. Because I literally use this pack every day, durability is key. Thats why I went with DAKINE.

I bought these pants because I needed a warm, waterproof ski pant for every day use on my way to and from work on Aspen Mt. The third time I wore them it was a warm day and I needed to unzip the leg vents. As I tried to unzip the left leg vent the zipper grabbed a couple teeth and then blew right out,,THE FIRST TIME I USED IT!! Terrible quality product! They look cool and keep you warm, that is the only reason I give it 2 stars. Other than that when looking at all the zippers, they're super light weight plastic and cheap looking. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PANTS! Mine are being sent back.
