I ordered both a "Small" and a "Medium" because you never know how a shirt is going to fit until you try it on. DogFunk has a super easy return policy so I simply sent the Medium back for credit once I found the Small to be the correct fit (not too tight and not baggy). Most of my shirts are sized Medium so just a heads up that these run big. No shrinking was noticed after being washed & dried. I prefer to have a few shirts like this that I can wear for anything from walking the dog to going out on the town with the family. It's like I'm ready for no matter what comes my way.

Glad I ordered both because the Small was just right. Not uncomfortably tight not too baggy. This store has an easy return policy and I had credit for the Medium in no time. I can wear this shirt for anything from hangin' around to casual dress up. Like just now, the door bell rang and we had company. Luckily I had this shirt on so I was lookin' like a bada*s Charlie Brown instead of some boring old schmuck.

Just a heads up on two things. 1) When they say "relaxed" they mean LOTS of room and NOT even close to a slim fit. If you like 'em large all around then these are for you. 2) I am a dead ringer for a 30" waste but the Union's 30" was more like a 31" -32". I bought both the black and the khaki and the same went for both. Therefore I returned them because I go for a slimmer fitting short. Nothing against Element - it was simply a personal preference.

I went out on a limb to buy these as I usually buy Volcom. I'm quite thin so I prefer a long (down to the knees) slim fit. The Matix "Welder" Chino offered me a similar short plus now I have an alternate khaki color to pick from. My amateur guess is that these Chinos have a 23" inseam because they come down to my knees but not all the way over them. True to size and no shrinking when I washed & dried. Very soft but not 100% cotton so they look ironed! The blue plaid lining is a nice finishing touch.

Great stretchy fit and goes well as very casual or dress to impress. Order to size

Sorry to say that I took the advise of the two posted reviews that said to buy one size larger. I bought a 32 instead of my usual 30 and I need to get some alterations to keep them in place! Plus they are baggy in the butt. Plus, my wife had to sew my button back on already as it was falling off. Wish I could trade them back for a 30.
