ThirtyTwo Forecast Snowboard Boot - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Very stiff, comfy boots, but only for those looking specifically for it   04-05-08

Strengths: - Stiff! - Pretty comfy once heat-moulded - Accomodates my wide feet and big toes pretty well - Quite light (much lighter than 05-06 K2 T1) - Very lengthy lace - Very good heel hold Weaknesses: - Stiff (not many people will like it) - Low midfoot section - Quite tricky to heat-mould, you DO need to bring those boots to a boot-fitter who KNOWS what he's doing. - Really difficult to remove liner - Hard to take off This is 'stiff' stiff boots, almost as stiff as ski boots! Great carving performance, not-to-bad in park, either (doing 360's no prob). Quite light, laces were really long which was helpful. Very well-designed, cushioning was ok, nothing brilliant but staying in the terrain park for half a day no problem. Now, bad parts. Forecast has low midfoot section, and for those who have high arch (thus raised cunieform bones), you will be in a world of pain unless you cover those protruding bones with some foam pads when you're heat moulding. Therefore, it is very highlyl recommended that you bring those boots to a boot-fitter who knows what they're doing, and ask them for toe-cap and some kind of padding to cover for pressure points. And you SHOULD know any pressure spots before you heat-mould the liner (as you can only heat-mould them for a couple of times), so it is recommended that you wear the boots for a couple of days to find sore spots first, the ask the boot-fitter to to relieve those sore spots. Once heat-moulded properly, absolutely best-fitting boots ever! The consequences is that it is darn hard to take off, heel-hold is that good. It is also b*tch to take liners off from the boots... but I'd rather have boots that fits tightly yet comfortably around my feet. In conclusion, if you're looking for stiff boots, are wide footed, wants boots that are light-weight and have good heel-hold, then you won't be disappointed, as long as you heat-mould them properly. Me? I'm buying a second pair because I know 32 won't produce them next year...
