Awesome shape; doesn't give you Fish hand!

I made the switch to Rome boards a few years ago and love them. I ride the 58 in Vermont woods and love it. My complaint about the fish is that it was great in the woods but sucked on the trail getting there. This board can handle groomers and rules woods, banks, & anything you can find off-piste. Also, the nose tapers really thin, I believe this helps it deflect up and out of the snow (keeping you above board). I ride it the same size as my Design (my full-time groomer board), but I used to ride bigger boards before switching to these boards (63 & 62's) |

You're not too cool for slippers...

and these reinforce that. I never would've worn slippers but I got my hand on some of these for free and love them. I'm back here buying a pair now. nice for when you end up back at the condo trying to con your lady out of her baselayer |

Remember these are heat moldable...

In Response to "Rome Fan" remember that these are heat moldable. I got some early in the year from the store I work at and they were buggin me half way through. I took them in and heat molded them and they were perfect. They are definitely soft boots (which I like); great for jibbin or riding pow. If you're launching big airs I would push you maybe to a stiffer boot |

Run a little small at firs...

Got these for my Dad for Christmas and was surprised how tight they were...He was fine with them, but figured I'd throw the warning out there. The best I can understand they are basically stuffed full of insulation which leaves less room for your hand. |

good leather mid-temp glove

Agree on the silicon wearing off quickly, but it is just for looks anyways...In this glove you are paying for the leather (not the insulation) I would recommend it from 15 to 30 degrees (F). Definitely thinner than the LT's, but not quite a lightweight glove (like the bushwood)...(I generally will hike in a lightweight glove and put this on after hiking; so surprised the other reviewer didn't find in warm enough during the hike) |

Good all around mid-winter glove

Leather palm is nice and bomber, Nylon on the back is stretchy. I wear mine between 10degreesF & 25, colder if I'm wearing a puffy. If you wear a shell I'd probably go mitten much colder than 10. |

The early boards delivered to stores did have a defect but I know Rome swapped all the one's at the store I work at with new boards. I bet you these are the ones that Rome replaced for this site (otherwise this site wouldn't be selling them). |

This coat rules...

Super warm. Fur on hood is removable so you don't look like an animal killer. Snow tends to stick to the wool, but it's so warm it long makes up for it. |

Super-light

This is my full-time board and I love it. I ride the 58, I rode the original version and loved it and bought this one. The new nose construction is a lot more forgiving and helps makes this board go any where on the mountain. FYI on the Smart base- You can wax it. It just helps to adapt to the snow temp on days you haven't waxed or have missed the wax. |

Great Pack

This pack rules. I have an older version but it's basically the same pack. The Osprey style wings makes sure it carries well no matter how much gear you are carrying. It's got multiple ways to get into the pack; so if you put a fleece at the bottom you can easily get it out.The top pocket is great for your goggles. I've done Tuck's a few times with it as well as early season hikes at Stowe. |

This has a sweet reverse camber nose. I wish I had some deep snow to take this for a slide... |
