Great boots, but check size chart

I generally wear a women's 8 and have a pair of Kayland Contact boots in an 8 that I love. I wore the Contacts for a lot of tramping in NZ through tons of water and mud. They fit great out of the box, kept me dry, and are perfect for my feet. When I saw the Vertigos I was really excited because the Contacts are better for summer (mesh) and I thought the Vertigos would be better for cold weather. Sadly, the sizing isn't the same. The 8 in the Vertigo is a half size too small (a UK5.5, the Contact 8 is a UK6). Buy these boots, just make sure you order the size so you don't have to exchange them! |

too short

This tank isn't made for people who have a long torso or want full coverage. It basically stopped right below my natural waist. I'm 5'8" and I tried the medium, which was still a little big in the top. |

nothing to get excited about

I couldn't wait to get these shoes after reading the other reviews, but was disappointed and ultimately returned them. While these shoes weren't uncomfortable, they were nothing to get excited over. I have high arches and these shoes didn't offer any support for me (the insoles seemed pretty flat). They did seem well made and looked good, they just weren't what I was looking for (I think I'll stick with Keens). |

good overall

I had a strange experience with these pants. In other brands I wear a 6 or 8 long, but in The North Face I tend to be a 8 or 10 long. So, I ordered these pants in both a 8L and 10L so I could compare. I tried on the 10L- they were huge but also VERY SHORT- I mean shorter than a regular length should be. Then I tried the 8L. They fit really well, and the length was good. Although they are certainly not the longest pants I have ever purchased, they were long enough for me (about 33 to 34 inseam). So I'm not sure if the 10s were just mislabeled, or if there is something strange going on at the The North Face! I would say the 8L were true to size, but the 10L were way bigger and shorter than expected. If you can find a pair that fit they are comfortable and good looking, I even wore them to work. |
