I've now had a chance to take this tent out into the Canadian Rocky Mountains for a short weekend trip. We had wicked winds during the night (gusts around 50khr) - the tent was bomber with all guy lines out. This fly seemed to fit nicely( compaired to my first haven 3), and it didn't rattle much at all in the wind. In the morning there was very little, if any condensation on the fly, and none in the tent. Also, there are 3 large storage pockets in the tent that fit ample articles of clothes and stuff sacks, making me wonder if the gear loft we got was unnecessary. The footprint fits out beyond the main tent door body - a nice design considering the vestibule covers it entirely and it gives you a bit of ground coverage for your feet while you put on your shoes, or a place you can store small articles outside your tent wilthout getting them onto soft/muddy ground. This tent has tonnes of room for 2 adults and a 60lbs dog, and is truley a tent that 3 people could sleep in without too much complaining. The zippers are silky smooth and the tent is a breeze to set up. We are happy with our purchase, even though this tent is not inexpensive. The small issues I have with this tent that are expressed in my first review are still relevent.

If you don't mind showing off your pipes a bit you'll love this shirt. It fits a bit more snug in the arms than I was expecting, but I got used to it. I always wear a size large in Icebreaker, and this shirt fit a bit more snug than my others. But, the XL would have been too big. I don't think I would wear it out to the pub, but it is a great trail running shirt. The material is not as soft as the 200 weight, but it feels more "smooth" and is nice on the skin. Icebreaker could have added another inch to the body length to fit me perfectly, but I've got a long back. I would definitely get another Bodyfit150, but probably a long sleeve for those warm, longer days in the mountains when I don't want to get sun burnt. Overall a great shirt that you should expect to fit a bit tighter than most. Stay with your normal sizing.

My first impression: "Man, the material in this jacket is way thinner than I pictured" - of course expecting a big, warm, thick wool hoody. Too my surprise this jacket supplies ample warmth for my use - cool weather jacket. It looks to be extremely well made - a tightly woven wool exterior with a nice waffle polartec lining. It is very well thought out with all tech jumbo in the description, plus two interior pockets and a nice waist drawstring. The fit is very true to size. I'm 6'1", 190 lbs and the large is perfect. It is fairly fitted, like others have said. There's definitely enough room for some layering but don't expect to put your down coat on under this thing. If you've got an extra spare tire or two you might want to look elsewhere. One of the best things about this jacket, the "MADE IN CANADA" tag! No Chinese crap here! Great sourcing backcountry!

I took one pair on a 8 day, 160 km canoe trip that had 61 portages (yes, more like a hiking trip with a canoe on your back!) and these things stood up to the carnage. Mud, beaver crap, silt, sand... you name it, it was ground into every fibre in the sock. The light grey colour never fully came back, and the socks do feel a bit rougher than the ones I've cared for (just slightly), but zero seams blew out and they didn't stretch one bit. They took care of my feet. My other socks are 2 years old, used 2 times/week and aren't even close to their half life. Go buy them.

This shirt is awesome! I guess that is why I now own three of them in different colours. I'm 6'1", 188 lbs and the large fits great. It has slightly longer sleeves and body than most of my shirts, so someone who is 6'2" and around 190 lbs could easily get away wearing the large. There is no shrinkage with washing as long as you hang dry. It does fit snug against the skin, which works great for a wicking layer. This shirt is surprisingly warm when needed, and doesn't seem too hot when the weather warms up. The merino feels very soft. There are no seams under the armpit which is great for runners. Go buy this shirt!

I got these to replace a pair of FLOW bindings on my Voile split board. The Flow bindings are a terrible choice for splits as they have inner ankle ratchet straps that will hit each other and break apart as you are skinning up. They might be good for the hill but don't even think about it for touring. FORUMS REPUBLIC, on the other hand, are fairly clean on the inner ankles and so far no problems with bashing the bindings together while skinning. I find that the FORUM is very stiff (good thing for me) and the straps are comfortable. The wrap-over toe strap has lifted off of the end of my boot a few times, still securing my foot above the toe like a traditional strap, but I didn't even notice it until I looked down, so not a big deal. There are tonnes of adjustments with this binding so they should be able to fit many different boots and sizes. Over all this is a well made, high end binding at a not so high end price. I own two pairs now, the other for my Arbor Crossbow. Highly recommended and at the SAC price it's a steal.

These socks are my favourite! I've got these ones and bought the women's version, size large, on SAC. I thought they would be the same fit, but the woman's version is definitely narrower (go figure). But for the price on SAC I'd buy them again. The woman's just don't slide on quite as easily, but we are talking socks here, so it's not a big deal. The unisex are ultra plush, even after 1.5 years of weekly wear. I expect them to last at least 4 years for daily wear. If you are backpacking guide I'd be surprised if they didn't last at least two seasons.

This shirt seems to be tailored for a relaxed fit. It doesn't fit nearly as tight at the Bodyfit 200 shirt. It doesn't fit baggy, but it doesn't hug the body like a shirt that would be used as a base/wicking layer would. It is still very comfortable. Materials are top notch and like all Icebreakers won't get stinky with prolonged use without washing. It is not my first choice for a backpacking trip (but not a bad choice if it is your only Icebreaker), but I wear it more casually around the city.

I purchased this tent for a light, 2 person plus black lab backpacking tent. On initial set up, the front vestibule zipper cover ripped where it meets the tent. I think it might have been short stitched. Upon second tent I noticed that there was a bit less tension at the original damage point, and I think it should last okay. The fly is a very light, silicon inpregnated material. I've got a tarp that is made of the exact fabric and has seen much abuse without damage, so the fly should be okay. It is a nicely designed tent, but there are a few small potential issues that only time will tell if it will be a problem: the small fly pole might cause excessive rubbing/wear on fly; the fly seams do not line up exactly with the poles which can cause slight sagging; for the price, more tent pegs should be supplied. Overall, this tent looks good, not amazing. But, I'll keep it for now.

I've only had 2 days out on this ride and it was on the groomers both days so here is the little input I have (I have the 2008 model, 166cm but think it's identical) Firstly, this board is not for beginners. It is one of the stiffest boards I've ridden (been riding for 14 years in Canadian Rockies). The board wants to carve hard and fast and needs a lot of speed to do so properly. I found that it didn't carve that well at slower speeds because of its stiffness, but as soon as you pick it up a bit it bites hard and pops you out nicely. It's easy to tear up a 4 inch gash into the corduroy. A few times I lost my toe edge when trying to lay my stomach down to within inches of the ground, but think that is me just getting use to the board and trying to carve harder than my limited time on the board will let me. This board is definitely a freeride/big mountain board. For all you park dudes you might want to look elsewhere. I'm glad I got this board and can't wait to ride it to it's limits.

I'm usually a big fan of Oakley shorts. I own two other types of Oakleys and I love them, but these shorts flat out suck. Firstly they are way overpriced for what you get. They have the internal loops to hold a button-in padded liner, but they don't come with the liner like my other, less expensive shorts. They aren't cut properly, or maybe it was just the ones I ordered, but mine tended to flair out at the bottom of the short making it look like I was wearing a mild bell-bottom. And what is with the black ventilation strips on the front? These are flat out ugly and they don't do jack for helping you cool down. The materials and stitching are all top notch like the regular Oakley standard, but the short itself needs to be retailored and have a significant price drop before I could recommend them to anyone. Don't bother buying these. Go get the Oakley 2.7 instead.

Got these on SAC at a killer price. Have used at least 30x (cycling, snowboarding) and they are showing very little wear. Fit true to size. I'm 6'1" and the large fits perfect. There is some stretch so they will accommodate several body types. Very little shrinkage in the wash (hang to dry). Great as a base layer on cool days for high output activities.
