These shoes seem great. I have a slightly wide foot, and they fit very comfortably at my regular size (7.5). They have some extra hard material right on the toe, which is great for rock protection when on the trail. I've had them for a month or two now, and have been holding up great both for trail running, hiking, and occasional indoor playing (e.g. volleyball). (I had originally ordered a pair of Montrail, but returned them after my first two times on the trail as they began to fall apart immediately and were impossible to clean.) These have good traction and are solidly constructed.

I got this for my son who actually needs a watch for everyday in addition to a technical watch for all of his outdoor play. This seems to fit the bill nicely. I hope he smiles big Christmas morning.

My son researched avalungs and decided on this one. It will be under the tree for him. Sounds like all of the features are just what he needs for all the backcountry skiing he does in Utah.
