Hi, I have worked for LLBean up in Maine and have 15 Smartwool Medium Weight Zip T's and Crew Necks. I love them, super soft, stretchy, non-binding, long enough, nice colors, can wear them for weeks without smelling, don't retain odors like capilene, machine washable and dryable, and really adaptable in different temps! Only drawbacks are slight pilling, cuffs stretch out if sleeves pushed high- But push them back up and they stay in place on the upeer arm and don't slide down. BUT... these are the ones made in 2005 and before! On the inside left side seam of the shirt, there is a white tag and on it, it says year made in lower right corner, for example FA05. New ones, FA06 and up, are scratchier, much tighter, less stretchy, shorter in the sleeves and torso. I returned them and wrote to Smartwool!

Pros: Love the soft inside waist fabric, the v-shaped back yoke which are not in the men's versions. Also like the zip off legs and the new button through waist closure. The zippered rear pocket is hidden very nicely into the line of the rear yoke. The belt is removable so you can put your own favorite belt with these shorts if you like. I'm 5'4" and the waist was OK for me, below my belly button. Cons: Although they did an excellent job of the zipper with the rear pocket, I wish it did not have a rear pocket! I can't use it with a big butt and I don't need the pocket lines showing through on my tush! Also wish the cut was roomier in the thighs, like the men's version. And these do have rather large waists, but the soft interior fabric helps when cinching them tight around the waist. Lastly the small envelope pocket on the right side of the thigh is not as secure as I would like, no zipper or hook-and-loop closure. The colors: Bog green is military green and the Beach Wood is very light colored, like cream/beige, extremely light khaki colored?
