I bought these water-resistant pants to explore the caves at Gibraltar where the surfaces are wet and smooth. I was the only one in the group who was sliding down rock walls with abandon (and a dry bum). Stretchy and attractive, these pants are terrific. They can be worn around town without looking out of place. My only complaint, and the reason I didn't rate them a 5, is that the waist didn't fit me. I'm usually a perfect size 8 and the medium was too tight by 1-2" and the large was too loose by at least 2". So I wear the large and jerry-rig the snaps to make it fit better.
