Montrail Magnet Climbing Shoe    Read other reviews of this product

Great for bouldering, sport or face climbing!   05-16-07

I got these in a 43, and I wear 11-10.5 in street shoes. This gives me a high performance ultra-tight fit without any significant discomfort. If I wanted to do trad, I would have gotten a 43.5. The half-length midsole works excellently for edging, and the heel is pretty decent for hooks. The cambered shape is very comfortable for my foot as I like plenty of arch support, although unless I really crank on the laces, there's a dead spot under my heel. The toe box asym shape is supremely comfortable and pretty good for pockets and cracks, although with my toes as scrunched as they are, I can't quite fit in the tiniest of cracks because of the toebox shape. Overall these shoes are definitely above average, and I would recommend them to climbers of any level, as long you get the proper size. Side note: these seem to be the Wasabi in a lace-up style, so everything you've heard about those can probably apply to this shoe as well.

freakin good jeans   05-24-08

Comfy, nice trim fit without being tapered or anything. Easily my best jeans that I own. I was lucky enough to snag a pair on WhiskeyMilitia and I've been rocking em since. They look super steezy with a blazer or a collar. pimp.pimp. Don't know if it's because i got them from WM but mine are 100% cotton w/ a button fly. I don't care at all, but others might.

Helly Hansen The Mars Jacket - Men's    Read other reviews of this product

Great Wind shell! No hood.   07-30-07

When the Helly Hansen Mars was introduced it was the lightest jacket, and at 2.3 oz for a large, it's like it's not there. The full zip (!!!) and laser-cut pit holes afford good ventilation. Around the fire at night, you need to be careful of sparks. Also the jacket has no hood but that's in keeping with the minimalist functionality of the Mars.
