This is a good lightweight headlamp for early morning runs or MTB rides, but you won't be able to see too far down the trail. The two LEDs put out an adequate amount of light, but nothing spectacular. This is a light I'll keep in my pack in case of emergencies due to its minuscule size. However, for a light that works in a wider array of environments, I'm upgrading to the Petzl TacTikka Plus. If you can get this light for under $10, then go for it...otherwise, I would go with something else.

I went for my first ride in these shorts yesterday and I they are pretty solid. I have a pair of Hoss Ponderosa's that I like, but the Ballistics breathe better and are more functional. The huge pockets are great for grabbing stuff while riding because you can fit your whole hand in them and the zipper tabs are easy to handle as well. The chamois was perfect and I like the detachable inner tights so you don't have to wash the outer shell after every ride. Overall, I am sold on these shorts, but I'm a cheap bastard so I would never spend $120 on them. Buy them here or wait for them to come up on SAC like I did!

These gloves have a great fit and even better protection. I figured I would try them out after seeing the great price and they have been well worth it. Best MTB gloves I've owned!
