If you’re looking for day hiking or maybe light backpacking boots, you should consider these. Pros: *They were comfortable right out of the box and never left me with blisters or sore feet. Salomon boots are true to size. I have high volume feet and these were perfect. *The lacing system is very nice and the boots fit snugly and securely without pinching. *I haven't had them that long so I can't judge the durability yet, but I've owned Salomon boots in the past and don't think this is going to be an issue. *They are ankle supportive without being restricting. *They grip dry rocks and roots well and perform nicely on dry to lightly wet trails. Cons: *I'm not sure if this is actually a con, but don't buy these if you want true backpacking boots, they are not intended for that nor will they perform well. *They are not waterproof and don't grip as well as I'd like on wet rocks, but with a little care, this isn't a concern. The wet grip issue is the only reason I gave these a 4 instead of a 5. All in all, these are great boots, especially for the price. Recommended.
