Have just completed cycling 150km 'Otago Rail Trail' in NZ in minus 10deg mornings. For 4 days the shoes with a merino sox kept me warm. The only pair of shoes I took with me - through snow, mud, etc. The evenings they were acceptable in the bars & restaurants we eat in. After 4 days on the trail we then went sightseeing around the city of Dunedin. No blisters or having to break them in. Will be using them regularly on my ski trips to our chalet on Mt Ruapehu (NZ) this season. The most comfortable & warmest shoe I have bought.
