After receiving my Petzl Duo-Belt from BackcountryStore I discovered that the headlamp was more than I expected. I especially like the bright halogen light. I purchased it for use in AmeriCorps but also for Search and Rescue, and Fire Department use as well. I like the rugged construction of the lamp as it has stood up to being dropped several times already. When push comes to shove with the batteries you can install AA batteries for light if needed. One complaint is that the springs that they used in the battery case are lined up on one end so you can't just assume that the negative end of the battery goes against the spring. Be sure to look at the pictogram inside.
