Although I have a pair of Arctryx Hardshells for alpine and b/c skiing, I saw these softshell Salomons on backcountry.com at a killer price. I saw, I ordered, they arrived the next day. Like a crack addict, I just can't say no to great gear at good prices---whether I need it or not. They are so fashionable and comfortable (nice stitching/pocket/zipper features) and fit so well, even though I don't need them, I can't bear to send them back. They seem to run a bit long for me, but I think I can deal with that. I can't wait to try them and switch out between my new soft and old hardshells.
