Diva Harness Women's? Why not for men...
04-14-07 ![]() |
Bought that one simply because it was that cheap and I did not see any reason why it should not fit a normal sized man. I already have 2 harnesses. 1 Salewa (old) and a pretty new Black Diamond Blizzard for mixed and ice routes. So I decided to use it as a replacement for my older Salewa. And it is perfect. Freedom of movement in all directions. You hardly recognize that you're actually wearing it. Size I'd say is according to the BD size table and I chose a 10 according to my measurements, which turned out to be perfect. I wanted to give the harness 4 points because of missing Ice Clipper sleeves, but what the heck, that's not what it is intended for. But I do love that Ice Clipper system for any gear besides quickdraws. So if you also have a lot of gear on your harness, then try one that can actually hold some Ice Clippers. Truly great. Aside of that really good gear from BD, as usual! |

Great pack for minimalists and enough additional tools/bars

I was looking for a hydration pack for climbing and biking in the summer. This is a solid pack, great design, absolutely perfect is the quick connect hose at the end of the lower end of the bladder. Inside the bladder connector is a non return-valve which stops your precious drink from being spilled. So you can fill the bladder, put it into the fridge over night and then connect it quickly in the morning and stow it in the pack. Also for cleaning this is very helpful. Big inlet on top, easy to open and seals properly without having to tighten it like it was a car's wheel. The mouthpiece is comfortable ad there is an additional valve that can be closed after the mouthpiece. In open mode you can bite on the mouthpiece and suck. Even in open position I found it was sealing properly, even when slashing the hose around. There is another loop in the middle of the breast strap where you can put your mouthpiece for easy access. Another nice gadget is the whistle that is integrated into the same buckle. So you can draw some attention in case of emergency. Overall: A very light and perfectly trimmed pack with superb fit and still 99% freedom of movement. Great deal for the price (for me being German and the current exchange rates even more ;-) No more thursty alpine climbs when you usually would leave everything behind except for a small bar maybe... I love it! |
