Snoop Daddy review

I just purchased the Snoop Daddy's and had my first chance to ride them today at Vail in over a foot of new powder. I bought the 185 Snoops knowing it would be a sturdy mid-fat ski that could replace my old 79cm carving skis and the Snoop did not disappoint. These are definitely hard charging skis that are a lot of fun and perform well in just about any snow condition. Floated easily on the pow pow in the China Bowl as the large sidecut made the turns smooth and easy. Powered right over any crud or tracked snow as the 126cm tip serves well here. One of the areas I was interested to see how the would perform was the bumps and reacted well. They definitely were not as peppy as my old carving skis but they handled the bumps well as the skis are pretty nimble and turn quickly when needed. And on the last run of the day headed down to the bar they bombed right down the groomers. The shovel was a bit fluttery but it really had no effect - these are fast skis that like to be run and react best to wider turns. Lastly, regardless of other others might say I like the graphics....yeeehaw. The Snoop ended up being the perfect ski to ride Vail during a huge dumping. The stellar performance combined with a reasonable sale price I would highly recommend these skis. |
