This bike should be classified in the All Mountain category, not the Cross Country. I have the 08 Slayer sxc 70 (which is practically identical to the 09) and have about 4 rides on it. It has blown my expectations in all categories. It has a great geometry and thanks to the Fox 36 Talas II fork, is adjustable as the fork can lowered for climbing. The rear shock (Fox DHX Air 4.0) with the pro pedal feature is great for climbing and easily switched to allow for full usage on the downhills. Overall a bombproof ride.

Got these boots for my girlfriends first AT setup. These boots lean stronger to touring, but have held up well to resort abuse. Definitely need to get these heat molded though, don't even try them without!

Overall a good all around top. A couple complaints similar to other ones below about the stitching coming out and the neck length being abnormally long. Not enough complaints to send it back though. I'm going to try and trash this shirt and see what it can take.

Picked this up on SAC about 8 months ago. It has become my go to, first choice, base layer whenever it is clean. The merino wool is comfortable, wicks well, and doesn't smell after several straight days of use. I didn't like the thumb holes at first, but eventually grew to really like use them all the time. I have also started wearing this as a long sleeve running shirt on cooler days. One last comment is that, through constant use the shirt has held up great, the only that has came off is the backcountrys goat!

Picked up a pair from SAC. Not sure if I like them as much as my Salomon's, they are still pretty new with only 4 or 5 runs. The Boa system seems to work well at providing even support for the foot all around. Noticed lots of comments about sizing before purchasing. I am typically and 11.5 - 12. Purchased the 11.5 and it is a great fit.
