These are all you need for a do everything bomproof set of all weather pants. The powder cuffs and the drawcord on the ankles completely seals out the pow! And then if you just wanna run around in the woods you can sinch'em up so you won't have fabric under your heels. The ultimate set-up is to throw on some medium weight thermals and the Minuteman pants and your good year round any temps. Major draw back are the pockets - pretty much useless. Learned my lesson with these poorly placed/designed pockets. If you take off and forget to zip up, whatever was in the pocket is definitely gone....because the pocket has no depth and it sits on your your thigh (zipper parallel to your leg) If only someone coulda thought to make the pocket zipper go left to right instead of up & down. Then you could drop something in and not have it roll out!

This was the first year I decided to try so many different boots, I tried all the Burtons but they seem to lack that secure comfortable fit on the upper shin and calf. I was anything but impressed with the Burton boots. Anyway, this was my First season with this boot and I couldn't be happier! Not to stiff (but very responsive) and not to soft ( but super comfy for hiking and riding all day) Takes a coupl'a minutes to lace up for the day, but once your in... your in. No more stopping to relace and re-tighten. The big draw back with these boots is that they do not fit well with my Burton Idiom bindings. So, I have been using my old Mission bindings and all is good now! Anybody want a pair of Burton Idioms for a good price?!

As all other reviews claim - this is a great looking jacket. The classic navy is a great color, I don't understand why this color is so hard to come by in any style from any of the brands out there. Am I the only one looking for this color? In fact while I'm on my soap box - I'm pretty sure this is the only softshell out there offered in navy blue - Anyway, the jacket is light weight and looks awesome which is why it was so hard not to keep it. Nevertheless, I returned the synchro cuz the fit is anything but "fitted" unless your shaped like a barrell, the midsection is kinda' baggy and just aint all that flattering. If they could'a just tapered the midsection in a bit, it just might be the best looking softshell out there, not as bomb proof as the Alchemy or Gamma but pretty sweet nonetheless!!
