Unusual laces make boots a risky proposition

I bought these boots for backcountry snowshoeing, but when they arrived I saw that instead of traditional laces they cinched up with an elastic draw cord and toggle closure. I wouldn't risk my safety to a made in wherever plastic toggle, so I returned them. I wouldn't wear these boots for any outdoor activity other than, maybe, shoveling my driveway. |
