We own four pair; my two ski's, my wife and now my 10 year old daughter. After trying step in bindings that released I found them stiff and unresponsive and wanted to get back to a cable binding but wanted the safety of a releasable binding. We spend 90% of our time on piste and in the steeps. The Voile is a simple proven system with few moving parts, well warranted and is easy to re-connect after release (putting release plates back together in the bumps when you were skiing with no poles is a test). The cost of these plates is a very small price to pay for "health insurance". Happy Turns.
