Lorpen Merino Light Hiker Crew Sock    This product is no longer available

Good Stuff   06-05-07

This is a great sock, you can't go wrong with merino! It's the only thing I let touch my skin when I am in the backcountry whether its the summer or winter or anything between. Just a quick warning, these are 'light' hiking socks but I would not recommend them if it's hotter than like 75 degrees, they are a little thick but still wick away the moisture well and keep you cool. Merino's temperature control has to be experienced to be believed!

Awesome shirt   06-05-07

At this price I was a little hesitant, but I own a bunch of heavier weight merino stuff for skiing so I figured it was worth the risk. I wore it just the other day doing some bouldering in 95 degree heat and it kept me dry for a long time and finally when it did get wet(I was sweating like a mule) it magically kept me cool. I don't know how it works but merino is the best fabric on the planet!

My Mom just recently stopped talking about it!   06-05-07

I bought this jacket for my Mom! She is 50 and a little out shape, and I tried for months to find something that looked good, was functional and that fit. After purchasing and returning multiple North Face and Marmot jackets I finally found this and the only reason she has stopped telling me how much she loves it is because it's 90 degrees outside!

Favorite Pullover   06-05-07

I really can't say enough about Merino wool! Unless it is warmer than 90 degrees I don't see why you couldn't wear this everyday of the year! I wear this thing all the time. On it's own it looks great and is really soft to the touch. The temperature regulation is awesome. My favorite use it underneath my softshell when I am on the crappy PA slopes, night skiing they are blowing snow and it's 20 degrees but I am still warm and the same range of motion as I have in my birthday suit!

Love this thing   06-05-07

This hat is crazy awesome looking and keeps you warm with out being too warm. I have always had problems wearing hats in the winter, it just really bothers me to have something form fitting on my head. But this thing is great! Even with the whole thing covered in snow from the blowers I am still warm and dry! I have another Dome Icebox beanie and its great too!

Pretty nice   06-05-07

This is a great very light weight fleece. It's really more of a T shirt than anything else. But it looks great and stays dry! It's less expensive than Merino wool and not quite as nice. But a good buy all the same!

Great Socks   06-05-07

I have no idea what this modal fabric is but it works awesome. Not quite a thin enough sock for the summer but it wicks moisture well and works great up to like 80 degrees hiking and climbing! I love Lorpen, this is my fourth pair, I am never going back. I highly recommend their ski socks too!
