The TeleBulldog locks down to become a solid and powerful extension of the ski. Skiing parallel with stiff boots and high performance carvers you can rail edge to edge on hardpack as crisply as on alpine gear. The toe iron also has a built in ramp angle so they feel very stable when feet are equally weighted. Dropping into a telemark turn, the initial flex resistance is slightly more than a 3 pin until the rocker of the boot sole is taken up, then increases significantly according to the choice of boot, Scarpas giving more resistance than Garmonts. The boot flexes nearer the ball of your foot, providing a much better platform than regular 3 pins. I let a Norwegian friend take a couple runs who quickly pronounced it probably the best 3 pin ever invented. I would add that it is a serious alternative to high performance cable/plate bindings.
