I bought the Heat Shield jacket for my dad, who is working in New Brunswick. He says it keeps the wind out, and keeps him warm all through the fall and into early winter until it drops into single digits at night. And then, he just layers it under a shell and it works great. It is roomy enough for comfort but cut slim enough to also layer comfortably.

I love these shorts perhaps a little too much. The back slash pockets are incredibly useful for jamming just about anything into. I wore them for an entire week on the San Juan river and they performed flawlessly. Very easy to move in, and incredibly versatile.

This tent is pretty damn cool, and I definitely stayed mostly dry throughout the gnarliest rainstorm I've ever seen in Utah's high Uintas. That said, one side of the tent did collapse briefly under the weight of some ice/snow mixture whose weight was increased by the constant rain. The problem is that the front of the tent does not drain all that well, it pools and then runs off all at once, resulting in a slightly startling phwooooop when the water hits the ground. Setup is easy, once you figure out how the pole goes, and the vestibule is a nice size and keeps everything dry. The floor did not leak one little bit during the aforementioned rainstorm, and I had no condensation problems whatsoever, even in heavy rain. As far as size goes, it would be comfortable with three people on pads, I was with my girlfriend, and it was a nice size for the two of us car camping with car camping pads and bags and duffels and whatnot. The peak height is somewhat misleading, as it is only that high right at the door, and then it slopes down as you go back. Very comfortable for my 6'5" frame, but definitely not a stand in the middle kind of tent. Overall, I definitely recommend this tent, it is constructed incredibly well, and is very comfortable to sleep in. The fly could use a small redesign, but it only became a problem when the snow came, which isn't necessarily three season weather, so I don't hold it against Mountain Hardwear's designers. Great tent, possibly a little expensive for what it is, but I stayed dry as could be, and that's worth it to me. I'm sure I would not have been as comfortable or as dry in my Kelty tent, the seam sealing and attention to detail is where this tent excels.

I've had this tent for about 5 years now, and used it in just about every type of weather Utah has (which is a lot) and it has performed pretty flawlessly. I initially got it because I, like the reviewer below, am quite tall, and this tent had the space I wanted. I also liked the two doors, no climbing over your buddy to go to the bathroom at night. For summer, you can't beat this tent, nice ventilation and durability. Even in the shoulder seasons where it gets a little cooler and wetter, this tent still rocks, the rainfly is functional, and ventilates acceptably when set up correctly. There are lighter and more expensive tents out there, but for the money, you can't beat this one.

Gotta wear the skid lid when you get out on the road with the crazy drivers, and this one from Giro definitely makes you feel protected. My last helmet was a cheap-y bell, so needless to say, this is a HUGE step up. Fit is both awesome and totally adjustable, straps are super adjustable even for a very tall head, and the helmet just feels secure on your head, which is probably the most important thing. I would say it even feels more secure than some hard hats I've worn.

These shoes are great for an entry level road biker who wants a pair of shoes that will last forever. Anecdotally, sidis are supposed to last upwards of 7 years with regular use. You can see the workmanship and quality in these shoes, and the wide sizes are a huge plus.

I really wanted to like these socks, and on one day, I did. And then on the next day I hated them. I'll tell you why. These socks are great at keeping your feet dry, keeping the funk down, and being a cozy sock. If your day consists mostly of sitting, with an occasional trip somewhere, these are great socks. On the other hand, if your day consists of standing for long periods, or doing a lot of walking, or hiking, these socks will destroy your feet. The problem lies in the cocona fabric. It is designed to provide more surface area on each thread by bonding carbon to the polyester. This is fine until you put an 8 hour workdays' worth of pressure on that fabric, then it starts to give you little micro cuts, and your whole foot feels raw. I could actually pull my skin taught and see where these little cuts were. So long story short, good for sitting (would be a KILLER dress sock) but bad for standing or hiking.

This is the first carhartt product I've purchased that I'm not in love with. It's a t-shirt, does the t-shirt job, but is not nearly as tough as their cotton t-shirts are. Feels ok when wearing it, but it also shows sweat the second it gets a little wet, which is kind of a pain if you want to look presentable while you're sweating your ass off at work.

I bought these after really liking my green pair of these, and wow, what a difference. I'm a big guy who works in a warehouse with concrete floors, I spend 8+ hours a day on my feet just there, plus whatever else I have to do in a day. I also recently had knee surgery on one knee, and tore the MCL in my other knee, so they give me trouble on a daily basis. These insoles make working in that environment tolerable for my body, and keep my feet,back, and all my joints very happy. I can't say enough good things about these.

This is a nice, spacious tent. I'm tall, so I was looking for a tent that I could not only fit into, but get in and out of easily. The non-vertical doors make it very easy to get step up and out, rather than crawling out awkwardly and trying to stand at the same time. This tent has room for two people and gear easily, and probably enough for 3 people if they were all on the smaller side. I can't say enough good things about the design and quality of the tent.

This jacket is awesome, plenty of pockets, fleece liner zips in and out very easily, and is quite warm on top of that. My only complaint is that my sharp point softshell doesn't zip into it. It does fit nicely underneath, but does not zip in.

This is an awesome bag! I got one for my girlfriend for her birthday, and was a little nervous, because she is a very cold sleeper, and because I wasn't super familiar with MontBell's products. This bag blew me away and exceeded every expectation I had. Oh, and it kept her warm too. The elastic around the bag makes it very efficient, while still being comfortable. We were in fairly cold weather (about 20-25 degrees overnight) and she was warm as could be, which is pretty rare. 5 stars and two thumbs up!

I bought this watch as a training gift for my girlfriend who is getting ready to run a half marathon, and is going to begin triathlon training, and she absolutely loves it. It is very nice looking, and easy to use. The styling is very simple, and not so sporty that it couldn't be worn to work, out on the town, etc.

I'm a pretty big fella (6'5" 290 lbs). I purchased the Mtn. Hardwear Switch bag a couple years year ago because it has a feature that allows the bag to be expanded by 8 inches. Even with this fully unzipped, so as to get the greatest girth out of the bag, I felt much more constricted than I would like from a 3 season bag. This Marmot bag is just awesome! I fit in comfortably, and there is still room to sit up (with the hood on!) and move around a bit when sleeping. From a big guy, this bag is just awesome. Get the extra wide, it's worth it.

These may even be more comfortable than the sandals! I was excited to find out that Chaco was going to start making shoes again, and even more excited when I picked up a pair of these. They fit great right out of the box, even for my large, wide, and high-volume feet. They breathe well, grip well, and look good. These are my new everyday summer shoe. I wish they had slightly more padding/shock absorption, but they are great light hikers and everyday shoes. Would buy again and again!

This jacket is such a screaming deal I couldn't pass up getting one for my girlfriend (without seeing if she liked it first). Luckily, she loves it and it fits her quite well. Finish work is not in the same league as Arc'teryx, but Gore-Tex tests each product that uses their fabrics before it goes to market, so you can trust the waterproofness of it.

This towel is awesome for traveling, I used it on a river trip, and it was nice not only for getting dry, but also for cleaning the sand off my feet before changing into shoes for the cooler nights. Has a great chamois feel to it, and is just a handy little item, well worth the price.

Even on the coldest ski days, I still go for these under a shell pant, and I've never needed any more than that. Comfortable as can be, great wicking, and great warmth to weight factor

These are super comfortable, very well-made, and fit perfectly. They give you a nice, small profile on your board, possibly allowing for a smaller binding size, and less toe/heel drag. Most boots bulk up to give you stiffness, but Salomon just makes them well

I like these pants, but not as much as my other pairs of carhartts (which are more or less the only pants I wear). They seem to fit a little tighter through the hips until it hits about mid thigh. This may be due to the jean-style pocket cut, rather than the traditional carhartt slash pocket we know and love. They're a pretty good pair of nicer looking pants, not as many rivets as the other styles, so you can dress them up a bit more. In short, a good, well-made pair of pants, just a funky fit.

This is a great part of any camp kitchen, and while a bit heavy for backpacking, if you had a group of four to split weight up, it would be great for that too. The blue is very nice looking as well

Got this when I purchased a laptop, and its a great bag. It maintains its shape, full or empty, which makes it super easy to find the tiny thing you put in the bottom. Multitude of pockets, including a nice fleece lined one on top for sunglasses. Holds all my stuff with room for more, and remains comfortable with a computer, anatomy and physiology book, and an EMT book in it.

Like all Carhartt duck products, you get the feeling this jacket will take a solid 8 months to wear in, but once it does, it'll be the most comfortable and durable thing you own. Only complaint is the zipper-with the duck cloth as rigid as it is, it can get in the way and snag the zipper a bit, but that will go away with time. Would definitely buy another if I didn't know this one would last so long.

Picked these up as a valentine's present, and was really impressed with their quality. I own a pair of Sidi road shoes myself, and these are just as nice, and burlier.

I bought these for my girlfriend to wear as a cold weather running pant. They've been co-opted into everyday cozy pants, and they perform flawlessly in that regard. However, the waistband is only stitched at the two side seams, and the elastic is folded up just a bit to make the stitch shorter. These two things combined cause the elastic to roll inward, and make the waistband fit very strangely. This was obviously done to achieve a clean-looking line at the waist, but function should come first. Great pants, but they need a reworking at the waist to get more than three stars.

Hell yeah for no blisters. My girlfriend was having major blister problems on her longer runs until I found out she was just wearing cotton socks. We got her a couple pairs of these, and now she won't wear anything else. They don't stink either, even if they get worn a couple times a week (shhhh).

I like this light's simplicity and ease of mounting/use. There's no weird push button switch that may or may not turn it on, the switch makes it very clear whether your light is going to be on, and I like that. It won't get bumped and turn off, and it's definitely bright enough to keep you visible.

Great little lightweight, simple to use headlamp. To get full use of the 5 modes, you may have to play with it for a little while (I did) or read the instructions (I did not). Very easy to pack, bright light, definitely sufficient for most nighttime activities at the brightest setting, and low enough to read and not blind yourself at the dimmest setting.

These tubes are definitely sufficient, they haven't flatted on me yet. Seem like a really nice set of tubes for a decent price.

I didn't really like these shorts, there's a funny flap that juts out just below the tie. Didn't fit well overall either.

My girlfriend loves these sandals. She recently recovered from a stress fracture in her foot, and needed a pair of flips that provided good support so she didn't re-injure it. These are approved by the American Podiatric Association, and were recommended by her podiatrist. They are durable and look very nice too.

Nothing earth-shatteringly cool about these, but they keep your tender parts comfy and wick moisture well. I would like to see PI put out a tall size option, but that's a pretty minor gripe because these certainly stretch enough to accommodate my 6'5" frame.

I love these shorts. They're nice and simple, with huge front slash pockets and sufficiently sized back pockets. They dry super quickly and don't hold stains at all. Awesome for both hiking/backpacking/technical use and everyday casual wear.

I love these sandals for just about everything but snowsports. I prefer the Z/1s to the Z/2s because you can throw a pair of socks on if it gets chilly in the woods at night. Incredibly durable and comfortable.

I wanted to like these shorts, and I suppose I do like them, but there are too many pockets placed in odd places that I didn't find super functional. They also seemed to fit a fair amount larger than two other pairs of Mountain Hardwear shorts I bought at the same time. I would recommend the Kurtis short and the Coolidge trunk as more functional alternatives.

Got these for car camping, and they do not disappoint. Might be a little heavy for backpacking, but taking a single component for backpacking wouldn't be bad at all. A nice cookset at a good price, these are nicer pots than the ones I use at home.

This is a great set for the car camping kitchen, and unless you're an ounce-counter, grab a single fork and spoon to go with something like the fairshare mug for backpacking. Doesn't roll up as neatly as I would like it to, but that's a small quibble.

Great pair of hiking shoes. Fit is just a touch narrow for those of us with the wide feet, but probably fits great in a normal foot. Seems quite durable, haven't had any breakdown issues with the shoe. Keeps your feet dry too, which makes it a great everyday winter shoe.

Great wicking performance out of this baselayer. It is quite comfortable, no movement issues, and keeps you dry, even if you sweat a lot. I love the zip neck for comfort and for extra heat blow-off.

Great pair of gloves, but don't expect the full waterproof/breathable benefits of a full gore-tex gloves. Will definitely be wet at the end of a good long day of skiing, but your hands, in general, will still be warm and basically dry. Not an expedition glove, but a pretty darn good ski glove for the price.

I was a little surprised at how baggy this pant fit, even though it is listed as a baggy cut. Even though I bought the size that corresponded to my pant size, I had a ton of extra room, and had to tighten up the velcro and will most likely have to wear a belt next time. I bought it mainly as a nice weather pant, and it is doing just fine with that task.

I love this pad, I bought the XL, because I'm a larger guy, and it works perfectly with my marmot trestles X-Wide bag. Easily the most comfortable pad I've ever used, probably not for backpacking, but I would consider it because I was so comfortable. I slept on rock, and had no shoulder or hip discomfort when I woke up. Easily more comfortable than probably three out of the last four real mattresses I've had.

Bought these for my girlfriend, and she uses any excuse to wear them. Yoga during the week, and everywhere during the weekends. Look great, fit great, good quality, and a well thought out design.

I had water in this bottle for about a week in my car in decently warm temperatures, and it didn't develop any kind of weird taste like a Nalgene does. My only complaint is that I dropped it when it was full, and it dented quite easily. Hasn't impacted its utility though. Definitely worth the extra money

I beat the shit out of these, and they keep coming back for more. I wear them hiking, biking, river running, disc golfing, working, to the park, on road trips, on plane trips, to barbecue, and more. In the last year, I wore these shorts on the majority of days that it was in any way reasonable to wear shorts, and they have held up great, and performed flawlessly every time. (Even if your idea of flawless is being able to wipe barbecue sauce off them when grilling). Great pair of shorts, I'm planning to get a few more pairs for the summer. The only pair of shorts I've ever had that was this versatile are my Dickies shorts, which are a bit heavier than these, and not quite as easy to move in. I'm a big fan, I'll wear these until Mountain Hardwear stops making them.

The only real downside to this light is the use of AA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery. I use rechargeable AAs, but it's still more of a pain than having a light-specific battery. I wouldn't use it for 24 hour races or anything like that, but it's a pretty solid commuting light, the low LED setting seems to be sufficient for city riding, which is good, because if you run it high, you'll burn the battery in a hurry. I like having the option for helmet and bar mounts too.

Nice safety, nice control trigger, so you don't go blasting the whole thing into your tubes when you just need a little extra after pumping furiously with the mini pump. Pretty heavy, but I think it's worth the weight if you're commuting.

After one too many struggles with a mini pump on my daily commute, I bought the "road" version of this pump, in hopes that I would spend less time with flats. It definitely does the trick, i'll never go back to those 4 inch pumps again. I also bought a CO2 inflator at the same time, and the handiness of that probably beats the pump, but is more expensive every time you use it.

I haven't had a flat on these yet, knock on on steel. Way better than the last set of tubes I bought, which were an off brand.

I bought these on a recommend from a friend, and had never used knee warmers before. These have exceeded all my expectations for a piece of gear. With 3 knee surgeries under my belt, keeping the knees warm is crucial on chilly days, and these do the job very well. I use them hiking as well as biking, and have been very happy with them.

This is a totally functional and well made glove. I love the XXL size, my hands are huge and it can be hard to find gloves (especially for cycling) that fit well. These do the trick, and do it in style. The red does turn a little pink-ish when stretched out over white skin though

Probably the most durable, best fitting pant on the market. I have a closet full of technical clothes and lighter pants than these tanks, but I still wear these nearly every day in the cooler months. Double front is super tough, and will almost never die on you. The pockets start to fray where you wallet sits after a few years, but that's no big deal.

These pants cannot be beat. I've tried Levis, dickies, and other so called "work" pants, and nothing beats these for fit, comfort, and durability. I work in a warehouse, and will honestly wear these for a month at a time, they stand up to just about anything you can throw at them. I get about 2 years out of a pair of these, and about half that out of the last pair of jeans I bought. These are also well cut for people with active size quads and calf muscles. One of my ongoing complaints about a lot of pants is that they won't fit well over my thighs and calves, and these definitely do the job well.

I bought this as a christmas present for my girlfriend, and it garnered rave reviews from her and her family (phew!). It keeps her warm, and she's almost always cold. I think there have only been a couple of days this winter that she hasn't worn it. Comfortable down to around 10 degrees I would guess, then just throw a shell over it and you're golden!

Nice and warm, and give you great dexterity. Classic Arc'teryx fit and quality, well worth the price.

I got this to go with the Backcountry down sweater for my girlfriend for Christmas (it was a BC holiday) and she wears it all the time. THe pockets are less than super functional, but the hoodie keeps her warm, which is no small feat. It is nicely cut, and she looks great in it!

I bought these to go with the rollers I also bought from here, and I like it quite a bit. It is a nice thick material, and definitely keeps the carpet in better shape than it would be with sweat dripping into it all the time. A simple product, but sometimes those are the best ones .

I bought these for the sole purpose of improving my riding form and control, and they are doing a great job of it. THey will help correct any deficiencies in your pedal stroke, any inefficient movements you make, anything at all. For instance, I didn't know that I put a lot of weight on my bars when shifting, but when I shifted on the rollers, my wheel immediately turned to the side and I had to recover my line. The rollers themselves are extremely well made, and the folding feature is very nice for storing yet another piece of gear. Definitely recommend these for anyone.

Expensive, but well worth the money. Made in Canada, perfect finish work, awesome fit and design. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about these pants, they are the best out there.

I got these after numerous attempts at finding a supportive shoe that was wide enough, but not super wide, all failed. I tried these on at a local store and loved them, bought them on the spot. I've been wearing them daily for a little over six months now, and have been very impressed with their durability and performance. I'm a big person, and my nearly 300 pounds puts a level of stress on footwear that very few others can match. If a shoe can last 6 months of daily use, the manufacturer did something very right. I've only recently had to reinforce these with superfeet, which I do most of my shoes after 3-4 months, because they just can't take the beating. I was a little concerned also about wearing these in the winter, but it is now the end of january, and I've only had minor problems (snow over the tops, etc.) but I think they are pretty comfortable over a wide range of temperatures. I think I've just about beat this pair into submission, and I will most likely get another pair to replace them. I may even get two pairs and rotate them so they last longer. Great shoe, can't say enough good things about it.

I bought these last summer, and initially liked them, and without giving them too much of a torture test, decided they were comfortable, even though I wished there was slightly more padding/support. The padding/support issue became a much bigger deal after a few weeks of break in time. It became apparent that these were strictly casual shoes, and that they weren't designed for you to spend all day hiking in. They have only marginally more support than my Vibram Five fingers shoe (not much more than a thin rubber sole if you're not familiar). I've kept them around in part because I can't throw away a perfectly good shoe, and in part because they're a pretty good car camping kick around shoe, almost moccasin-like. I tried to make these work, I even put some Superfeet insoles in them to up the level of support a little bit, but it still didn't cut it. Hopefully Chaco comes to their sense this year and puts out a burly shoe with a sole worthy of the Chaco name.

This has very quickly become my go-to jacket (no small feat for a jacket whore like myself). It fits well, is plenty warm for all but the coldest days, and seems pretty durable so far.

Well designed, holds damn near everything, and will last forever. I haven't had any issues with it at all, and it fits me (at 6'5") phenomenally well.

This will keep your tent in better shape for a longer time than anything else you can do for it. I would much rather buy a new footprint every few years than a tent every few years.

This is a great tent for the price. Fits me and another person easily, could squeeze three in if the weather was bad. Light enough to carry backpacking if you split it up or have another person carry other supplies. Good buy.

Other than that, noting too special, but it does its job well, no leaks or spills from these so far, which is nice, and fun designs get looks at the gym...

These socks rock! I wear them every day, and they are comfortable and durable, and keep sweaty feet dry. I like the thickness of these, not too thick, not too thin, and the height is nice too, gives you just enough coverage.

I purchased this for my girlfriend to use, because she hates running with water bottles in her hands, and it is the most well thought out piece of gear either of us owns. The adjustments at the sides are easy to make, and keep that pack very secure against the back. The front strap slides vertically so as to get you the best fit possible, regardless of endowment. I should mention that this pack talks about being a women-specific pack throughout all the tags that come with it, although that isn't mentioned on the site.

I bought some of this for my girlfriend to use in marathon training, and decided to steal a tube for work. It makes a huge difference in a hot warehouse, normally I crave salty foods about 5 hours into an 8 hour shift, but not with these. I don't have to worry about getting hyponaetremic from intaking so much water and sweating it all out. Also, as an EMT and wilderness first responder, I would be 100% comfortable using these in cases of dehydration, they are lightweight, easy to use, and never messy. I can't say enough good things about how easy and awesome these are.

This is not a bad kit. It will be totally sufficient for most of what anyone does. With that said, it is not perfect. You would be better off replacing a bunch of the band-aids with more gauze and tape, and dumping the re-hydration mix (which is a nasty messy spill waiting to happen) in favor of some nuun tablets or something similar. This is a great start, and a good carrying case, but needs a little help to be as helpful as it can.

I was looking for a nice lightweight jacket to throw in my bag on cloudy days, and this is it. Cut well, very comfortable compared to many of the Italian brands I've tried. Very nice material as well.

It is worth buying one of these when you buy the tent, your tent will thank you, and over the course of a few years, your wallet will too. Much easier to replace a footprint than to replace a tent.

I have a freaky long torso, and finding shirts that actually cover all of it can be a chore, but the BC shirts are awesome in this regard. Crack kills, these shirts do not. Well, they kill it, but that's totally different.

I like this bag, it seems durable and fairly well thought out, but I bought it in part because I thought my helmet would fit in th emesh sleeve, as shown in the picture. I was most certainly incorrect. This may have something to do with me having a large size helmet, or the particular helmet that I have (Giro Monza) but I was unimpressed with that aspect. It also seems to not want to stand on its own unless fully loaded, and it would take A LOT to fully load this thing. I've got shoes, tools, helmet, extra lock cable, and some other random stuff in there, and it is STILL not full. So if you're looking for a go anywhere and do anything bag that you can fill with gear, this is it, but if you just need a place for your shoes, change of clothes, and a couple of tools, I would look for something a little smaller.

If you're going to own only one book on wilderness medicine, this should be it. Well, this or Medicine for Mountaineering, but this one is a lot more practical and easy to read. It is my go to guide when I need to look something up, and I've even carried it with me on trips where weight wasn't a huge factor(rivers and basecamp) Overall, you can't beat it for the clarity of information, illustrations, and ease of reading.

This is great for the daytime, and for those warm, buggy nights by the water. Keeps you from looking like a giant human polka-dot.

Great baselayer, does exactly what it is supposed to do. Looks nice while doing it too.

You can wear socks or neoprene booties under these, which is why I got them for my girlfriend before our river trip. They're super comfortable and extremely durable. Great pair of sandals.

I liked these trunks a lot, but the other reviewers are correct, these fit HUGE!I ordered a similar size in 3 other swim trunks and boardshorts, and I had to return these because they were so large. No integrated belt or belt loops for tightening them up either.

Great hat for shading the head and face, lightweight and easily packable.

I have footprints for all my tents, and this is no exception. I would much rather pay 30-40 dollars for a new footprints than a couple hundred for a new tent, and in rocky Utah, you can shred a footprint in the desert in no time.

I read the previous reviews saying size up, and thankfully they had a 3X in stock, but it was still far too small. I'm a fairly large person, not fat, but large all the way through. This fit tightly across my back, under the arms, and in the forearms. On top of all that, it hit pretty high on my torso (above the belly button). I would have really liked it outside of the size issue, and the return was smooth and very quick.

I like this shirt, the way it fits and looks and whatnot, but there is a solid color patch at each shoulder. On mine, it is a white patch, which looks quite strange really.

These shirts are nice, but a little on the coarser side. At first I thought it was just an itchy wool, but I've since decided it is just a coarser weave. I still like it, just not on par with Ibex or Icebreaker.

I got these as a going to Europe present for my brother, who prefers to not eat meat and tries to avoid leather products. He loves them and says they are super supportive and comfortable enough to walk everywhere in. Probably not a boot to set out on a week-long trek with 70 pounds on your back, but great for almost anything else.

Can't go wrong traveling with these. Although they advertise that you can go anywhere for a long time and just wear one pair, I would recommend getting two so you can wash one and wear one. Great for backpacking too, wash em in the stream and then lash onto your pack to dry. Love them and would definitely buy again, well worth the money when you consider how many pairs two of these would replace.

I love these bottles, as well as the Klean Kanteens. The upside to the Sigg's in my opinion, is the mouth and top. That indentation just below the mouth is where our lip goes, and makes for spill free drinking. This is a pretty small thing, but it actually makes a difference day to day.

This is a great bag. There are very few things on earth capable of destroying it. Love the waterproof interior, especially when I it pulls double duty as a cooler on those summer evening cruises.

This is a pretty good summertime baselayer for keeping you dry. I wore this under the Mountain Hardwear Canyon shirt during a river trip, and was very pleased with its performance.

If you want to replace the fast food plastic forks you've had in your cookset for years, but aren't willing to spend the money on steel or titanium, this is for you. Lightweight and durable within reason, the price is what keeps me coming back to these when I need to replace or expand my camp kitchen.

I wore this shirt for a week floating down the San Juan river in southern Utah, and it performed flawlessly. Kept the sun off, and kept me cool when the sun was out, thanks to the great venting. My dad has the same shirt, and likes it for desert climates as well, but doesn't like it at all for humidity, he prefers the Ex Officio line for the humid climates.

Really nice looking jacket. Fits me well even with my really long arms, there's plenty of room in the sleeves. Flattering cut, even for big guys.

I was surprised at how well these fit my canned-ham hands. The XXL fit like very few gloves I've ever owned have. Great for water of any kind

Just wanted to update this review after using the bag daily for almost 6 months; It still rocks. Nothing has faded, torn, or worn, not even a little bit. I carry about 15-20 pounds in it on average, and no part of the bag has started to sag, it still holds form when put on the ground. All the zippers are as functional as they were on day one, and I just can't say enough good things about the bag.

Love the shirt, nice soft, organic cotton, clever design without being over the top.

For this price, these lights are awesome, not the lightest, not the brightest, but perfect for commuting in an urban environment.

I got these for my girlfriend as a good all around winter shoe and also as a hiking shoe. She loves the way they fit and the durability and waterproofness of them.

I was a little skeptical when I bought these socks, but they came so highly recommended from a friend that I tried them out, and they are some of the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. They keep your feet totally dry, and keep air between your toes, which is pretty cool too. I have stubby pinkie toes, so the sock is just a touch long there, but doesn't bother me at all.

This kit is a great starting point, and if you have no specialty training, it will be all you need and more. If you do have extra training, then it is pretty easy to swap out a few of the components and replace them with extra things you know how to use. It is definitely designed for backcountry emergencies, and as such, lacks some of the things that EMTs in urban settings would use, but those are tools that add more weight than their usefulness justifies in the backcountry. Overall, Adventure Medical does a great job as always, and the rest of their products feature components that can easily be swapped into this kit.

I love this hat, wear it all the time with nicer clothes, gives you an extra flair while keeping it super classy. Good quality, Nixon logo pin on the side is easily removable, and fits very well. Can't ask for too much more for a hat this nice at this price.

This watch is a go anywhere, do anything indestructable monster! I've got huge wrists and it fits just fine, I've got a hole set or two to spare even.

Got this sweatshirt recently, and it fits well, and is about as warm as you would expect a sweatshirt to be. Hood is huge (a plus for how big my head is and how tall I am) and sweatshirt is super comfortable overall. I wear it and my Mountain Hardwear Micro Chill pants constantly in the colder months

I wear these almost everywhere in winter. Cut fairly baggy, and quite comfortable. The front pockets are HUGE and hold a good amount of stuff. The back pocket zips for holding smaller things you don't want to lose. Quite warm, and again, seriously comfortable.

This board isn't anything special, but at this price, who cares? It slides down the mountain and doesn't break. And it comes with bindings. If you're just getting into snowboarding, and don't want to spend a ton of money, this is that way to go.

Not the warmest hat out there, but almost always the one I reach for on my way out the door. Comfortable in size and shape, and the fleece earband inside is great for both blocking sweat and keeping your ears warm

Comfortable briefs, fit well. Pack anywhere. They take up much less room than the cotton briefs I am used to. They dry quickly, but still usually overnight. Don't expect to wash a pair before dinner and be ready to change into them for a night on the town (though a hair dryer just might make that possible).

This is an awesome freeride stiff boot. I've always liked my boots stiff, but this one is a step above. I'm not 100% sold on the BOA system yet, it seems solid, but it also seems like it may break after a few seasons. The steel lace is pretty cheap to replace though, even if it does break on you. As it stands, I love these boots, we will see what the durability ends up being like.

Warm, soft, comfortable. Can't say enough good things about them. The girlfriend wears them all the time

I bought these pants for my girlfriend, and she absolutely loves them. Wear them alone, or under the Mountain Hardwear stretch fleece pants when it's really cold

She says they're quite warm, and almost always wears them when we go snowshoeing. Nice and cushioned, and nice looking too

I love this mug, pretty much because you can do anything with it. I use it to carry food on the way in, and then its nice and easy to eat anything out of, the heat doesn't transfer out to the handle too bad.

I love this bib, durable and tough, but comfortable and easy to move in. Think carhartts, but waterproof. Zippers could indeed be better, but are not so much of a pain to be a determining factor in buying the pant. I've only had problems with the zippers at the ankle, and those only get moved a twice on a given ski day. Up top, the zippers move just fine for great venting. Early and late season, you can ride with the top velcro'd up, and the zippers open, and its as comfortable as can be. Love them, would definitely buy again, a great bib for the price.

This axe is great, solidly built, and made by fiskars, so its great quality. Super sharp so far too, we'll see how it holds up, but i'm very impressed

I didn't have any of the problems with the poles that the previous reviewer did. If you stake down the footprint with the tent, it works just fine. It does what a footprint is supposed to do, no bells or whistles. I'd buy it again.

This Sharp Point jacket is awesome for just about anything you can do. I just got it, and it has already become my go-to jacket. Rain/snow mix, no problem. Chilly but sunny, breathes well and isn't too warm. On top of that, it is completely waterproof - at this point anyway. I was at the car wash, and my buddy decided it would be funny to spray me with the high-pressure rinse; the water beaded up and rolled right off, leaving the fabric dry to the touch even though the rest of me was soaked.

I'm not a small person, let me just start with that. I purchased the Mtn. Hardwear Switch bag about a year ago because it has a feature that allows the bag to be expanded by 8 inches. Even with this fully unzipped, so as to get the greatest girth out of the bag, it still would not zip around my shoulders. It also constricted my feet more than I would have liked. This Marmot bag is just awesome, I fit in comfortably, and there is still room to sit up (with the hood on!) and move around a bit when sleeping. From a big guy (6'5" and 300 lbs.) this bag is just awesome. Get the extra wide, its worth it.

I recommended this jacket to my brother, who is studying in England for a year, and he loves it as much as I do. It keeps the rain out, and lets your skin breathe, so you don't get that rain jacket swamp arm thing going on. I've found it effective in everything from a light rain to an all out downpour with huge raindrops.

These bottles are indestructible (as far as my efforts to break them are concerned) and don't retain a taste after washing. If you leave one in the car with a bit of water in it in the summer, you get a bit of algae-ish funk, but it washes right out. And hey, all the cool kids have one, you should get one too:)

These skis are super super skinny, but will undoubtedly be great for those no snow in a week groomer days when you speed from top to bottom faster than you should. Being colorblind, I didn't realize this, but I've been told the skis are everything from "pink" to "light salmon" to "dark coral." Just thought I'd help out the other colorblind people decide what color rustoleum to buy

I bought these for my girlfriend (who already owned the same model of shorts) and they have quickly become her favorite pair of pants, or maybe second favorite, but only second to the Prana Paige pant. These are a little more "any occasion" than the paige pants, and great for all day hikes and anything near water because they dry so quickly

These skis are killer lightweight, but definitely fat enough for the deepest powder out there. They will be my AT skis for this season, good all around ski.

I love how light and easy to carry this chair is. Super comfortable to sit on, and really adjustable. A good sleeping pad in a pinch too. I think the pockets on the back are pretty worthless, but I just cut em off.

My girlfriend is in love with this shirt. I think she would wear it every day if she could. Wicks well and is comfortable and very nice.

This is a really nice looking sweater, easily worn to pretty nice events because the logo is the same color as the shirt and doesn't show up so well. The fit is a little funky, like most north face stuff, but overall it works pretty well
