Allows me to wear "sweatpants" to work
01-02-09 ![]() |
These pants are amazingly comfortable and are my new favorite pair! They're very loose fitting with a straight leg. The waist is pretty big, but I don't mind. I ordered a L and I usually wear a 10/12. Like many other reviewers, I yanked the drawstrings out of the bottom of the leg as soon as I got them. There's no way I could keep them out of the mud. The cargo pockets are also very low, the top of the pocket hitting me at the knee. Long length works well - I'm 5'9". |

Almost love them more than my cat

One word: phenomenal. These sandals fit great from the first day I wore them - no uncomfortable-completely-raw-skin between-your-toes feeling. I usually wear a 9.5 but went with a 10 and was very happy. |

My favorite pants!

I have now worn these pants for three days in a row - and am back to buy more. These are the first pants I've found that fit my 5'9" frame (buy the longs). They stretch out quite a bit between washes, but tighten up your belt a bit and you're good to go! (Besides, it makes them easier to climb in) |

High waisted

These pants are incredibly soft, but happily I haven't noticed the waist stretching out over time. I normally wear a 10/12 and went with the 10 - they fit really well over my butt and thighs, but sit pretty high compared to many of my other pants. They're dangerously close to my belly button. The legs are wide (I can comfortably wear them with long underwear) and a long worked well for me (5'9"). I ordered the slate blue, but they look more dark purple than blue in most light. All this being said, I don't wear them often because it's hard to match the color and I have to wear long enough shirts to cover up the high waist. Pretty much just an around-the-house pair. |

Soft, but odd shape

I agree with the other reviews in a couple respects - the fabric is super soft, the color is amazing, and it fits pretty loose (almost a little too loose...). It follows the trend of most women's shirts, though, and gets wider as you go up in size, rather than longer. Barely hits the top of my jeans (5'9"). |

I really, really wanted to love these pants

These pants are beautiful. They look very similar to a cotton or linen pant, and would definitely be suitable for work. Very lightweight. They are NOT, however, suitable for hips. Not forgiving. They sit pretty low and hit me at the widest part of my leg. Even though I plan on returning them, I loved everything else about these pants, and they would look great on someone with a more boyish frame. |

I gave it to a thrift store

I know I've got a pretty long torso, but this was inches above my belly button. As previously mentioned, there's no support, so it didn't serve any purpose at all, other than to maybe cover a sports bra. I didn't get around to returning it, so I eventually gave it away to a thrift store without ever wearing it. |

Great fit

Very comfortable pants. The long length is perfect for longer legs (I'm 5'9") - they don't show my ankles, nor do I step on the ends. Like the previous reviewer who gave them 5 stars, they sit perfectly on my hips. I wear these both for work and play, since the material can go either way. They seem pretty durable (no frayed ends after a few months of abuse). As mentioned in the description, I can actually fit things I need in my pockets without being uncomfortable. |

Eh.

These pants are alright, just not my style. They have a much slimmer fit than any of my other North Face pants. The utility pocket that they mention that isn't very visible in the photo was kind of irritating - the zipper runs down the front of the leg, which makes the fit around my hips a little strange. Seemed to be a good pant for someone looking for a (very) lightweight, slim-fitting pant, but wasn't what I was looking for. Long length was adequate (5'9"). |

Beautiful colors

I ordered the coastal green in a L (I'm 5'9", about 10/12) and it fit pretty well. The color is absolutely amazing! The elastic around the waist was a little tight, but nothing I couldn't handle. It hits me right at the knees, definitely not above. It's got great body though, and works for a girl with a little curve. |

Pretty tough little bugger.

I ordered the #1 and used it for a solid six months to store my toothbrush, toothpaste, vitamins, and face lotion with a little wiggle room. Kept the stickiness inside, rather than getting all over the rest of my stuff. Didn't have any problems with holes or loose stitches. |

Long torsos unite!

When will someone figure out that I might need a larger size because I'm taller, not...er...wider? This shirt is super soft and doesn't seem to stink after use, but it's really short and wide. |

Smells like it's fresh out of the dryer!

Okay, maybe not that good - but it DID spend two weeks on a wildfires in the southwest and it doesn't smell like smoke. Pretty awesome achievement, actually. Kept me warm on those cold nights in the sleeping bag! The fact that it's 100% wool allowed me to wear it on the fireline for some cold night shifts, as well. The purple color is great, although the sleeves could be just a little longer (I'm 5'9" and got a large). It fits, but it's stretched to its limits when I use the thumbholes. |

Runs a little big...

Only one complaint - it runs a little big (but only a problem when ordering!). The material is super-soft and hugs your curves in just the right places! |
