Not so great

Would be nicer if they were a tighter fit. The tail bone pad moves around a lot. Go with the demon snow or the protecs, they'll work a lot better |

Sweet Hydration....
01-25-07 ![]() |
Really great hydration pack. Plenty of room for energy bars/snack. I wouldn't put anything fragile in there because it rides high on the back and if you were to fall backseat/backwards, whatever you're trying to protect will be history. I haven't had any issues with the quick release coming off on the lift so that's not something you should worry about. Carries plenty of water for a day and as long as you keep the nozzle in the sleeve it won't be freezing up on you. Great pack, no point spending money on anything more expensive unless you need more room. |

| GoLite Hex 3 Tent Read other reviews of this product |
Super light, easy to set up and completely weatherproof
06-02-07 ![]() |
If you're looking for a lightweight tent/shelter this is definitely the way to go. Very easy to set up. You stake down the 6 corners, open up the door, put the pole into place and tighten up the straps on the stakes. You can also hang it from a solid branch/anything overhead and forget about the pole all together. You'll want to buy the nest that is available for the shelter. If you purchase the floor it does not completely seal off the outside world and some bugs may get in. You can avoid this by lining the outside of the tent with rocks if you can't find the nest in stock anywhere. There is plenty of room for 2 people with the pole, 3 would be a bit cramped. Without the pole you won't have a problem fitting 3 people in there. The hex shape of the tent holds up extremely well in high winds and I sat through a heavy rainstorm without any leakage. Overall I'm extremely happy with this tent and recommend it to anyone who wants a lightweight backpacking shelter that is simple to set up and performs as well as a tent twice it's weight. |

| Big Agnes Crystal Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree PrimaLoft/Down Read other reviews of this product |
Great bag
06-02-07 ![]() |
This is an incredible bag for the price. The mix of down and primaloft keeps you warm, dries out quickly, and gives you that comfort of down loft that other synthetic bags lack. The outer shell is very durable and stands up to a ton of abuse. You'll definitely need to get a pad for this one. Big agnes doesn't insulate the bottom of their bags because they have a sleeve for a pad to go there. They do this because insulation on the bottom of a bag is severely reduced when you lay on top of it and really isn't necessary. You also can't roll off your sleeping pad which is the biggest pro in my book. I would recommend the Big agnes insulated REM pad. This adds insulation the bottom of the bag and insures that the cold ground won't get to you. |

Love the ventilation
04-08-07 ![]() |
These shoes are great for hiking in warm weather, the ventilation is just amazing. It also helps when you have to pass through bodies of water, they dry out super fast. Very comfortable shoes, I wear them around town just as much as I hike in them. If they get too grungy you can just throw them in the washing machine, they are machine washable! Make sure to air dry them though, definitely don't want them in the dryer. Oh yeah, I would recommend going down a half size on these. I'm normally an 11.5 on the nose and an 11 would be perfect. You will not be disappointed in these as a hiking or casual shoe. |

Sweet gloves!
05-12-08 ![]() |
Loving the attack gloves so far. They don't have velcro straps and the cuff is elastic. Very easy to get on and off. Not having the velcro is nice because once they're on you don't have to worry about your gloves the whole way down. They breathe incredibly well and the terry cloth is clutch when you need to get rid of some sweat. Combine these with sunglass wipe on the inside of the Fox Racing attack jersey and you're good to go! |

Best goggles I've ever had!
01-25-07 ![]() |
I had a pair of Spy Targas for a looong time and I finally decided to upgrade. The orbits have to be the best looking goggles out there. I have the blue steel/Blue orange spectra mirror. It's a great all around lens, great in low-medium light and the mirror really helps on brighter days. They will be better for a small-medium face, if you like larger goggles these aren't for you. I don't have any problems with them fitting my Giro G10 helmet either. These goggles don't fog up at all, have a great range of vision, and are very comfortable. I'd been putting off spending this much on goggles for awhile now but if you want a top of the line goggle you won't find anything that looks or performs better than the Orbits do. |

Looking for an all-mountain freestyle deck????
01-03-07 ![]() |
Won't go wrong with this dark series. Sick freestyle deck, tons of pop, the built in risers give you a lot more control. Super responsive board, can tear up the groomers but didn't get to try it out in the pow yet. Need some more of that out here right now. Perfect flex, not too soft but definitely not too stiff. Perfect for pressin boxes and just messin around too. |

Sweet fleece!
09-11-08 ![]() |
This is an awesome fleece for lounging around, hiking on a crisp fall day, etc, etc., etc.. Its not a havey duty fleece and you will need to combine this with a jacket during the winter(depending on where you reside) but the North Face Pumori fleece will be a prefect cool weather choice for all your needs. |

Perfect
05-12-08 ![]() |
These shades are killer for anyone with a medium to large sized face. The visual clarity is amazing, way less distortion than I'm used to. The lens coverage is a large factor in this and they also block out the wind very well. Stupid easy to change the lenses in the glasses too, takes a few seconds. If you ride a bike these will make your life a whole lot easier. Next time you find yourself on the top of some huge hill after dark just pop in your other lenses and go. No more punishing your eyes for your sunglasses' lack of multiple lenses! |

| Salomon Malamute Snowboard Boot - Men's Read other reviews of this product |
New Season=New Malamutes
02-01-08 ![]() |
Been riding these boots for the past 4 seasons and have no complaints. Super comfortable liners. Customized is always better but when it comes to factory liners you'll have a very hard time finding better. Super easy lacing system and I haven't ever had problems with the laces fraying or breaking. Really stiff boot to start out and they keep most of it but when these finally break in they are butters. They stay incredibly responsive but get a real nice mellow flex to them that makes em perfect. If you're looking for a high performance boot for anywhere on the mountain grab these. Mixed with a medium stiff binding you've got a set up that will kill it anywhere on the mountain. You will not be disappointed in salomon boots, especially these ones. I won't ride anything else, cept maybe the f24s next year... |

Won't blow away
04-20-07 ![]() |
This shade was extremely easy to set up and take down. Will only take about 5 minutes either way. Does a great job of blocking out the sun and rain. Had this set up in about 20-30 mph winds and it looked like it wanted to go once or twice but didn't pull out, only had 3 stakes down instead of the 6 that it comes with. If you're going to get into some serious wind you'll want to use all the stakes. No complaints. Very high quality and easy to use shelter. |

Great Shades
04-08-07 ![]() |
I've always been a big fan of the style and fit of Spy's glasses and these are no exception. These are very comfortable glasses that stay in place when you need them too. They'd be great for running, biking, etc. They have a really nice matte black finish and the hinges are a gunmetal grey and not a chrome, light in the picture is a bit misleading. The polarized lenses are great while driving or on the water. If you like catching glare in your eyes definitely don't get the polarized lenses but if you don't like those stabbing rays of light these are the ticket. |

Sick Casual From Vasque
04-08-07 ![]() |
Wasn't sure what to expect when I picked these up. I got the deep lichen color, it's always hit or miss with color patterns like that and this was definitely a hit. They're super comfortable and look great. The vibram soles have great grip too. By far one of the top five most comfortable casual shoes I've ever owned. |

Doesn't get any better than this
01-25-07 ![]() |
This helmet is really light/comfortable and has saved me stitches/staples more times than I would like to think about. I have the audio inserts too and they are definitely worth the extra cash. It's so nice not to have to shove ear buds/headphones into my ears anymore. The venting on the helmet is great, there is a slide on the back/top of the helmet that opens and closes the vents, real easy to use even when riding. Haven't had any issues with goggles fitting either. Really durable/protective helmet too, I've had some serious impacts that I shouldn't have gotten up from where I bounced up and rode away, no concussions yet. Definitely worth the money if you value what's inside your skull. |

GET THIS BOARD!!!!!
12-17-06 ![]() |
If you're looking for a burly all-mountain board then this is your best bet. I had the 162 out for the past few days, used to riding a 164 Baron es, and I am giving serious thought to sending back my Baron and gettin one of these decks. You actually have to make an effort to fall on this board, really quick from edge to edge, super responsive, great pop, and the graphic is sick. I have the Baron ES and I'm jealous of the Heritage, I might be switchin decks. |

Stoked!!!!!
12-07-06 ![]() |
Just got the 164 and I don't think I'll ever be happy on another board. Insanely fast board, killer pop, and burly stainless steel edges keep you in control down the most bumpy/icy groomers you can find. Had it out in the pow for a day or two, waitin for another storm, and it handled like a dream. Couldn't be happier with this setup, def try and go with the C60s if you can afford them, they're worth it. Its hand made too! |

Sick boot
12-07-06 ![]() |
Have had the malamutes for the past 3 seasons now. Sick freeride boots, boot won't lose any of its stiffness, and super comfortable with the custom fit liners. Lacing system is very easy to use, and the tread on the boot makes them great for hiking up that gnarly ice covered boot pack. Only complaint is they don't interface right with my Burton C60s and I have to get a different boot, if that weren't the case I wouldn't look anywhere else for a really responsive/comfy freeride boot. |

So convenient
12-03-06 ![]() |
So nice to have a padded, dry, safe place to keep all my important things. Don't be scared to go with the Process Pinstripe color either, definitely the best color option. Small enough to fit in any pocket but not too small to do what you bought it to do. Great product. |

BUTTERS!
12-03-06 ![]() |
So nice not having my ear buds getting shoved into my brain anymore. Sound on these is great. Wore them on a pow day or two already, got everything nice and wet, including my cell phone, and they were still rockin out. Main thing I was worried about too, these things hold up great when they get wet and the cell phone link is real easy to use. Just press a button when a call is coming in, music will cut out and you just talk through a mic in the volume adjuster, real simple. Def worth the money. |

| Petzl Tactikka Plus Headlamp This product is no longer available |
By far the best bang for your buck
06-02-07 ![]() |
This headlamp is perfect if you don't need the brightest one in the world. For camping/hiking/climbing its perfect. While it may not be the brightest headlamp out there I find it more than adequate for all my needs. The red lens flips up very easily and is an option that I feel all headlamps should be required to have. You just don't need the regular light option in most situations and it is very annoying when someone blinds me with their white light while I'm trying to maintain my night vision. The battery pack issue others complain about is not an issue if you put the batteries in correctly. They aren't the easiest to put in but you just have to make sure everything is clipped in and your batteries will not fall out. It might take you a minute or so to put them in correctly, a very small price to pay considering the great functionality of this headlamp. |

Swickter!
05-12-08 ![]() |
Just tore up the bobsled trail with my new attack jersey and it was well worth the cash. Made the climb from popperton all the way up dry gulch and was overdressed for the weather. This jersey kept me cool in the baking sun on a long, sometimes painful, climb. The sunglass wipe is so clutch..Its on the inside of the right, front, bottom, section of the jersey and super easy to use/very effective. No scratches on my new lenses and sweat free vision all day! Sweet lookin jersey too! |
