I bought this pack specifically for an 8 day trip in Glacier National Park - couldn't be happier. It was comfortable, held a heck of a lot of stuff (41 lbs at the start of the hike!) and was easy to adjust and has lots of nice pockets and nooks in it. I also use it for frequent weekend trips - good stuff.

The Osprey Circuit Daypack makes a great backpack and a super carry-on. There are tons of compartments in this thing, and can pack really well. I'd consider day hiking with this but I already have some extremely lightweight day hiking gear, but if I need to jump on an airplane or go on a day trip somewhere, I wouldn't leave home without it.

This is a great pack if you just want to carry some water and a few extra items (gels, car keys, cell phone). I use this on adventures where I will be out half the day and want to go light.

While I don't wear these shoes to train in, I have run several 50Ks in these shoes and I have performed very well in them. They are very light, and can climb up a tree. Traction on these shoes are excellent - it is almost like a soccer cleat or a xc cleat for your hardcore trail runner. Not a lot of toe protection so be careful when you run on very rocky terrain. Also, not a lot of ankle support (I knew both of these things when I got the shoe). If you can handle them, they will make you feel like a pro!

If I could sum it up in three words, I would say comfortable, great-fitting, and stylish. I have a "medium" face size and these fit perfect. Great to run in, great to wear around town. It is easy to forget that you have them on because they are so comfortable and like other folks said, the vision is very clear. I wore them onto an airplane at night, and forgot I had them on. I am very happy that I own these glasses, a great product from Oakley!

The La Sportiva Fireblade is a solid shoe. The shoe gets great traction, has a good fit (maybe a little more narrow than I am used to, but definitely comfy). In comparison to other shoes, you may feel the ground more. After running in Brooks Cascadias for a while, this shoe feels much lighter and faster, but maybe you won't get that "running on a cloud" feeling". The toe box along with the rest of the shoe protects your feet very well from kicking rocks, etc. I wasn't terribly happy with a La Sportiva shoe that I bought about 18 months ago, but this shoe is definitely an improvement. Great for fast trail races, or ultra-marathons.

This is a great race vest. I am not a big guy, so I was looking for something that could hold between 50 and 60 oz of water, but was relatively light. This pack does both. It is very easy to figure out how to best fit it to your body so that it stays stationary whether you are hiking or in a full out sprint. After the first few miles in it, I completely forgot the pack was there. The shoulder straps were comfortable and did not rub. The clip in front is non-obtrusive and is comfortable. Convenient front pockets as well. Go to any ultra-marathon and watch folks finish. It's no wonder why over 50% of the field are using Nathan packs. I am totally on board.

This tent is awesome - cannot be happier with the choice I made. Simple to put together, very very light, and quite roomy for a single tent (granted I am only 5'4"). HIGHLY recommended!

I either bring oatmeal or a MH breakfast with me when out on the trail - it provides a good kick and tastes homemade IMO

Not a fan - I filled up a bottle with this stuff at a 50K in WV last summer and could not down the stuff. I heard some people who love it (and I love the hammer gels) but I didn't like this at all!

I was introduced to these in a 50 mile footrace in Arkansas... have loved them ever since. The flavors are very tasteful, and the gels are a tad watered down (which is great) so you don't necessarily need water to take them with.

Along with the Mountain House Beef Stroganoff, I usually take a MH Rice and Chicken with me on trips. While the "1 serving" package isn't enough IMHO, it was a nice compliment to a side of vegetables. Easy to cook and very light.

I tried on many helmets, but I kept coming back to this one for the fit and comfort. The best part about it was the price - one of the more cheaper helmets on the market that I saw. It fits well with my goggles, it is very easy to adjust, keeps my head very warm, and is rather light. Why people would ski and snowboard without a helmet is beyond me... I mean, would you mountain bike downhill without a helmet? If I had one complaint, the only thing I could think of is that my friends call me "egghead" because I have white framed goggles to go along with it, and I look like an egg (I got the Matte White color). This helmet is audio compatible also, but I haven't tried it yet. The Smith Holt Helmet was a great buy.

These goggles are very comfortable and provide a good view. They are lightweight, stylish, and breath well. No fogging up for these goggles.

I've taken this filter on almost all my backpacking trips. It is easy to use, foolproof, and gives you clean water instantly after a few pumps. It cleans well and isn't all that heavy to carry. An overall great product - I have yet to be disappointed.

I have one of these for my Camelbak Magic - works fine, fits great, and stops from the tube falling and bouncing up and down.

I remember buying this thinking that there was a strong possibility that it would be nasty but after 5 days on the trail and a big meal, this really really hit the spot. I'll definitely buy this again!

Like the other bike shirts I bought, price was an issue. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a shirt, but I still wanted one that was still functional. All in all, I think that this shirt is a good value because of its comfort that it offers and the value. A simple shirt for a good price.

The adiStar Body Map Full-Zip Cycling Jersey is a straight-up, simple bike shirt. Its a nice shirt for those who suck a lot of wind when they get on the bike and don't want to attract a lot of attention when on the side of the road. It makes for a great beginner jersey and its a good value.

These Sugoi Evolution Cycling Shorts are pretty much what you expect. I am a newbie cyclist and there is nothing fancy about these shorts, just your typical spandex with padded butt area bike shorts. I use these all the time biking on my trainer in front of my television. I like them and I recommend them.

I use these for running for the time being because I lost my other Sugoi arm-warmers. They do the job... they are warm, very comfortable, and easy to put on/take off. I am 5'4" 120 lbs and got the S/M and the fit fine. All in all, I am satisfied with this product.

I bought two of these back in December. I am 5'4" / 120 lbs and got them in the small size. I gotta say that these are unbelievable. You get what you pay for... so while these were a little expensive to me, it was well worth the price. The primary reason why I bought them was to use as a base-layer for skiing. While they do the job and some when I wear them skiing, I can't wait to take them backpacking as well. These will be a welcomed companion for a hiking layer, especially because the warmth-to-weight ratio is great. I am sure I'll spend many nights in my tent wearing these to give me an extra few degrees to my 30 degree sleeping bag. As with all Smartwool items that I own, I am very satisfied with this product.

The North Face Tron Jacket is a great jacket with lots of nooks and crannies. Probably my favorite feature about this product is the level of comfort it provides and the location of the pockets in the front of the jacket. Perfect for a camera, trail map, what have you.

Very warm, comfortable, and breathable. I thought about going with another sweater but decided to fork out the extra few bucks for the Arc'teryx neck sweater for the sake of trying out an Arc'teryx product. Gotta say it is top notch. Not only a great layer, but great for wearing around town as well. Definitely happy with this buy.

Wow... you talk about warm. If the mittens aren't warm enough (which I am sure they will be), the liners that come with it will definitely help you out. I feel like a baller wearing these. Cold hands... be gone! Never buy hand heaters again. The construction on these are great... while it's difficult to get your coat over these mittens, have no worries because the snow ain't getting in.

Warm, lightweight, comfortable... I just wish that it was acceptable to walk around town in these. But seriously, these fit great, wick well, and makes a wonderful base layer. Not to mention they don't itch at all. Smartwool wins again.

The North Face Powerstretch Balaclava is one of my best buys so far this season. Comfortable, affordable, very warm, and very useful for those days that are especially cold. On those days I don't leave home without it.

Gotta love Smartwool! These socks are comfortable, warm, and help keep my feet blister-free compared to my last ski sock. I have bought more pairs since, and will continue to buy Smarwool Ski Socks!

This bib is excellent. Made out of the best material, lots of pockets, comfortable, affordable to an extent (but definitely worth every penny), and will keep you dry. I am glad I chose these pants, but I was in between sizes... I definitely should have sized down. Rather than that, I would recommend this product.

The Therm-a-Rest ProLite 3 Stuff Sack gets the job done... its a stuff sack for the sleeping pads. At, 0.5 oz, it's well worth the weight to take care of your sleeping pad and fit it into a small space. Gotta love it.

I finally gave in and got myself a sleeping pad - the Therm-a-Rest Prolite 3. Depsite all my friends making fun of me carrying it around because I don't "sleep on the ground like a man", this thing weighs less than a pound, and packs very well with the stuff sack. I suppose sleeping on the ground can be soft, but I get the last laugh when we wake up in the morning after a night in a shelter and I got a great night sleep and my buddies are still achy from the ground. The Prolite 3 Sleeping Pad is worth its weight in gold.

Love the shirt - very very comfortable. Great for any outdoor activity such as running or hiking, but also a great shirt for wearing around town. Love the color too - better than all the other typical gray and white t-shirts that I have.

Super shirt - lightweight, comfortable. Can't really think of anything bad to say about it. It's a solid shirt, constantly wear it on long runs and hikes. And yes, generally after running for 15-20 miles in it, it does stink. But then again, so do my socks and shorts.

I've gone backpacking several times and used these tablets... they definitely get the job done and they are good if you are on a budget. But I honestly prefer the other filters - they may be heavier and more expensive, but when you are in the backcountry and you want to drink now, it's worth the price.

I usually get small t-shirts so I got a small tee for this and it fits great. On top of that, it's an extremely comfortable shirt. I've run in it twice and it performs well

I bought this as I always like to carry water/gatorade on any length of run - so this is a great device for those runs between 30 - 60 minutes. It took a few runs to get used to it, but now that I am I prefer this over the bigger 20oz bottle

You will like the gels - tasty, easy to open, and reviving. The texture of this gel allows you to swallow easily unlike some others.

These shoes are great for both trail running and hiking. They are extremely sturdy, durable, and comfortable. I have bought 2 pairs of these and even though I have moved onto a lighter faster shoe for trail running (these shoes aren't the lightest shoes on the trailrunning market), I still use these shoes for bumbling around in the woods for weekend hikes.

They are great tights - they do everything they say and more. Comfortable, supportive, etc. I have no complaints, other than the price (I have 2 pair and each time I cringed when I saw my credit card bill). Rather than that no complaints -

It took a week to get adjusted to them, but I am definitely seeing the benefits. These are the closest things you can get to really expensive orthotics. I have 3 pair, and all have held up well. Great for running as well as for those days where you stand up for a while.

Easy to use, doesn't take long, gets rid of that "rubbery" taste that you can get from the bladder. Definitely worth it if you would like a clean bladder!

Cool idea for the mouthpiece - I've had this feature on my camelbak for well over a year now and still have yet to have a problem

Never had a problem with it - works great, even in wet weather. Very happy.

I am a huge fan of spagetti and I think this is as good as it will get to eating spagetti on the trail. Granted it doesn't taste as great as the Italian restaurant down the street, it's pretty darn good

I first tasted this in the Snickers Marathon in south Georgia. As it was the only sports drink on the course, I was "forced" to drink it. It was damn tasty!!! It tastes like candy (but not too sweet to make you sick!)

I had Gus years ago and didn't like the taste of them. I gave them another shot about 6 months ago and have been hooked - the triberry is excellent, and the lemon sublime tastes like lemon filling from a pastry from Dunkin Donuts. Mmmmmmmm - I look forward to eating Gus during a race now!

Carbbooms definitely get the job done - filled with energy and helped propel me to a 3:19 marathon. However, I like the tasete better of say a hammer gel or a gu during the last few miles of a race. Rather than that, carbooms are great.

This, like the other Mountain House Ice Cream, was awesome. Each flavor had an individual taste that was actually really good. It put a smile on my face after a long 16 mile day carrying 35 lbs :)

I always bring beef stroganoff on my backpacking trips. If for some strange reason I don't eat the meal while out on a trip, it is always a thrill cooking it in the luxury of my apartment :)

I love these socks and will definitely be hooked on them for life. I have run probably 20+ marathons in them and do not get blisters anymore! However, they do wear out relatively quick. They are an expensive sock (especially for wearing out relatively quickly), but wouldn't run another ultra without them!

I love this water bottle and acutally have like 4 or 5 of them. Comfortable, carries 20 oz., has a handy pack on the side (fit in keys or maybe a gel), but I didn't give it a 5 star because I was out the other day on a run and went to take a sip and the entire top came off (plastic and rubbery top). I like the bottles and will continue to buy them assuming that this was a 1 time problem

I brought a thing of nuun on a backpacking trip and threw a few in a water bottle several times along the trip. For some reason the nuun made the water almost "carbonated" and honestly I didn't like the taste. Maybe I am just a gatorade guy at heart, and while I hear a lot of people saying good things about Nuun, I am just going to stick with Gatorade.

Love the headlamp - use it for running at night on the trail and camping - have had it for a few years and have never had to replace anything but batteries :)

Love this pack - it can carry a TON and only weighs like less than a pound. I love this pack to death.
