Amazing! Super Responsive!

Before these boots, I had Nordica Beast 10s. They were way too wide for me. I have narrow feet and these boots are amazing! I tried on over 15 different boots (at least 15 that I remember what they were), and these were the only ones that fit. They are super responsive and unlike the Nordicas, they do what my feet tell them to do. I am not an expert, and not quite advanced intermediate, but close to that, and I love these boots. I immediately saw and felt a difference in my skiing, even in my first run in these. My size is a 24, my feet measure a 7.5. I don't see a need for the 3D buckle on a boot this small. When I adjusted it to the third hole, it conflicted with the other buckle, and when I adjusted it to the middle hole, my foot was in pain. I adjusted it back, and my foot no longer hurt. (I only played with the adjustments with one foot to see if I wanted to do the other foot). The 3D buckle looks like a good idea for bigger feet. My dad just got the salomon Xwave 9, in a size 31, and it looks like the 3D buckle will work better on that one, but he hasn't adjusted it yet. Over all, this is an amazing boot and I skied better than I ever have, despite snow guns blowing snow constantly to the point where I couldn't see. Otherwise, I would have skied better. I have only used them once so far, and I plan to again the day after tomorrow. Hopefully they won't be blowing snow. |

AMAZING!

I just demoed these today in the 163cm length at Windham Mountain (catskills, NY). I am a female, 20 years old, 5'5", 147 lbs and I loved these. I wouldn't want to go any shorter, and they carved very nicely. I skied better on them than on my own skis that I have been skiing on for 3 years. The conditions were probably the best they have been all year with lots of powder (it snowed a foot last week and 8 inches yesterday and lightly snowed all day today and is still snowing now). They plowed right over the powder, and carved amazingly on the groomed part. I was only there for a half day because I had class earlier (college student), so could only ski from noon to close at 4. These were the second skis i demoed and I skied on them for an hour and a half. If I were there a full day and had more time to demo more skis, I would have used these longer. I skied on them longer than any other ski i demoed today. If I could afford it, I might buy them, but I can't. I plan to demo them on another day when it is groomed. |

Fits a wide variety of heads

I work at a ski shop. we carry this helmet. It runs true to size and fits a wide variety of heads. It is one of our most popular helmets due to the fact that it fits a lot of people. If you have a round head and have trouble finding helmets that are wide enough above the ears, the Giro Fuse is a good choice, but it is more expensive. |

amazing socks

These socks are amazing. They are so comfy and keep my feet warm and dry. The reason thin socks keep your feet warmer than thick socks (or two pairs of socks) is because the thin sock will wick away more moisture from your foot. when there is moisture in your boot, it makes your feet cold. thin socks prevent this. I can wear these in my stinky sneakers for 3 days straight with no stink. I hand wash them (I don't have a laundry machine so this is faster, but I machine wash them when I do laundry) and they are dry within a few hours. I have one pair, but I wish I had a lot of them so I can wear them everyday. |

This is the boot for Narrow feet
03-16-09 ![]() |
When I first tried these on, I immediately noticed that they fit great. After a few minutes, my feet went numb, but I didn't care (which is a bad thing), they just fit so great. I work at a ski shop, and when people try on boots and their feet go numb, I tell them that it is the wrong boot. I have last year's model, which is probably only cosmetically different than this years. I am an aggressive advanced skier and I LOVE this boot. I have narrow feet, and I couldn't find any boot narrow enough for me. It took a while for me to break them in (about 20 days of skiing, mostly half days because I had school in the morning). Before breaking them in, I had to unbuckle them on the lift, or my feet would go numb but they always skied great. Recently, I had been having some pain on the bottom of my foot, with occasional numbess. I put in some Aline footbeds (about $60), and the pain was gone. I now don't have to unbuckle them at all. If I had gotten the Aline foodbeds when i got the boot, I might have not experienced numbness. at all. I wear a Smartwool Ultralight PhD ski sock with them. I highly recommend Aline footbeds. I basic superfeet trim to fit footbeds in them before, but they didn't do much compared to the Aline. |
