When it works it works beautifully...it is a bit temperamental in the process...Many times you could be following the process precisely and get a failed reading...very frustrating...however...better than any pump and the results are superior. |

Just returned from a 6 day backpack in Yellowstone with 4 other guys and we concluded that Mountain House gets a 50/50 rating...Just like anything else freeze dried...Sample them at home first. |

This bag is rated at 15 degrees...I was recently on a 7 day backpack trip and the temps went down to 25 degrees...I wore everything I had and barely made it...get the 0 degree bag. |
