I am a member of our County Search and Rescue team and a lot of our trainings/searches are in wet and cold conditions. I have 3 pairs of boots, but even with waterproofing sprays, none of them keep my feet warm or dry for more than a few hours. I recently purchased a pair of North Face Chilkat Women's Boots and I had occasion to try them out during an avalanche training where I was in wet snow all day long, as well as some slushy water. The Chilkats were easy to put on, and the loft inside kept my feet snug, warm and dry the whole time. I am so glad I bought them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great boot. I will keep my other boots for summer wear, but for winter, these Chilkats are the only boots for me!
