Baltoro HV 400 boot

My feet are average width and these boots are on the narrow side, they have a tight fit. Also, order a 1/2 size larger as they run small. They give good support, almost like a leather hiking boot. At -15 degrees my feet got cold after two hours. I think this may have been because of the tightness caused by the narrow fit of the boots. This is the only reason I don’t give the Baltoro five stars. |

I spent four hours outside at 14 below zero cooking a turkey on my new grill. My hands were super warm. They are kind of bulky, not easy to hold the meat thermometer or my wine and cheese. I had no problem holding a two D cell Maglight flashlight. |

Sub zero my butt

This jacket will not keep you warm in sub zero temperatures, even though the name of the jacket implies that. Plan on practical use of the jacket to be good for maybe 25 degrees Fahrenheit. I ordered the XL size and the fit is on the slightly smallish side. The length of the jacket is a bit short, I am 5ft 9 in. This jacket is extremely light weight and will fit into a rather small sack included with the jacket for backpack storage. |
